FS: 13x 2012 Leaf Modules 50AH

Hello All, starting the part out process of my electric R6. I have 13 Leaf modules from a 2012 car. They have about 300 total cycles on them (200 by me). They have been great, staying well balanced and delivering good power. I did a range test this summer and got about 52AH out of the pack so I’m ca...

Re: Chevy Volt 2016 or newer modules or cells

The 2016+ Gen2 pack has 3 16s modules and 4 12s modules. If I was closer I would definitely be interested in splitting/buying multiple packs. Check out these 2 videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woBHVcApRTk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGwxwkjw1dE Please get an accurate weight on the Gen2 mod...

Re: Sevcon Gen 4 Errors and Solutions thread

Very interesting with the display programming. I did it all by hand on my unit using the display a couple years ago. Might give this a try sometime soon. If I'm understanding correctly, you are using the DVT software to program what displays and where/how big it displays on the screen? Sent from my ...

Yes it bottoms out at 47.5-48V and tops out at 59-60V. That's the most accurate I trust my voltmeters too.

Re: 75-5 & 75-7 Motors - Looking for Test Engineers

Currently have a R6 with a Size6 and 75-7 motor. The motor has been modified to operate as a 6 phase motor in the future with the addition of a size4 controller. 28s of 2012 Nissan Leaf cells. 6000 RPM =110mph, usually cruise at 75 (-4100RPM) for 10-20minutes. Can really do any profile to test. Bike...

Thanks Doc. I didn't price them to sell as I do really like them. Just offering them up if someone is in the market.

The sevcon has been claimed. Heat sink still available.

Re: Nissan Leaf Cells Test Data

....Ok thanks guys. I have some 2012 modules. They only hold about 55-56Ah in them, but I'm able to pull 640A at peak out of them. So I call that about 10-11C. Eventually when I have to upgrade this pack I want to be sure I can get a bit more power from them. Yes, but as above at what voltage sag, ...

Re: Nissan Leaf Cells Test Data

I think the 10c rated leaf cells started rolling out in the late 2014 models or the 2015 models. The older stuff was 3c rated. Ok thanks guys. I have some 2012 modules. Re: Nissan Leaf Cells Test Data

I read somewhere in another thread that the 2015 Leaf cells may have a higher C-rating. Can anyone confirm this? I know that they have a tweaked chemistry of some kind to handle hot temperatures better and improve warm weather cycle life.

Re: What happens if controllers can supply 1000's of amps?

Drag racing would be a lot more reliable. We could stop blowing up brushes with DC motors and actually set some records. 200mph+ I understand that a DC controller power stage is much simpler, but there is currently a reliable 2000A controller available. Zilla 2k. We actually have two 4K versions tha...

Re: Ultra power dense charger project.

I've been using the 324Vdc value for all of my calculations. Thinking about it more thou without a input capacitor to smooth it out, the average voltage may be a more realistic value.

What calculator are you using? I'd love to compare it to the excel file I've made to calculate all of this

I would suspect Garlits would rank near the very top when it comes to funding ! Haha I can tell you first hand that this is not the case. Re: TESLA S P90D TUNING discusion

The sooner everyone gets ride of brushed motors the better. All the failures at the track are brushes melting down into a plasma ball. And this happens all the time. Brushed motors are so obsolete its not even funny. The only reason you see a few in drag events is because of the lack of money put I...
