Re: Custom 5kW Vector (QS 205v3/Kelly/DNM)

My bad, mistype, I assumed it is SAYOON relay, not Sanyo.
I keep an eye on these liitoKala 2660. I'm interested how these LittoKala 26650 behave in longer term.

Re: Custom 5kW Vector (QS 205v3/Kelly/DNM)

Is tha Sanyo 60V 150A? Looks like the one but might be any. You are using circuit breaker and relay. Double protection. Have you installed diode on relay? There is magnet/electrical voltage spike when relay coil disengages therefore diode is required to protect controller. Not all controllers requir...

Re: Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*

Just fyi controller has usb interface (cable) to which usb dongle can be plugged. It shows error codes on mobile phone screen in Sabvoton OEM mobile app, also it allow to change parameters like amps, cut off etc. It is very useful peace of equipment but it works only with the Sabvoton controller and...

Re: Definitive Tests on the Heating and Cooling of Hub Motors

To reach your goal you would need to design most effective air blades to scoop as much air as possible; blades being from the very rim to to the very hub ring, long as possible. The smaller the wheel the faster you need to spin it to reach the same travel speed on the road, but the smaller the wheel...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Regrding rolling resistance: I think too that rolling resistance might play biggest role between these two small, almost identical outer diameter wheels, but one wheel being slightly wider. As you said it: ''would be hardly measurable''. Regarding Rim: It does make noticeable difference if you weigh...

Re: Sabvoton Throttle Sensitivity

Hias9, How you keep mxus 45H 3T temperature within limits with settings 150/350 amps? I tested mxus with ~70A / 180A (72v nominal) and after few good starts motor is hot. By chasing torque with these high amps have you considered loosing some top speed (maybe increase voltage) and getting hub with m...

Re: Sabvoton Throttle Sensitivity

I remember I had little scooter with three speeds, as they call it. It had 1.6kw trapolized controller. At first speed at full throttle it would output all amps before reaching certain rpms, the same with second speed and third one. The same way are designed are all controllers including Sabvoton. A...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Most of you tried few options already. Some tried almost every wheel possible. Considering to run one of these, leaning towards 17''. Both rims 1.6'' width. 16'' rim with 90/90 tire 17'' rim with 80/90 tire Both wheels have almost identical diameter ~470mm. Let's pretend that diameter is equal. Exce...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tir

yup, cut them off. but first install all spacers on the axle you need to bring your brake/disc running. after that, center the rim (without tire its easier) + WITH the vbrake tab you can center it twice as easy. when you rim is centered, you can probably let the vbrake tabs. i had similar "problem"...

Who is already running this controller with hub(s)?
Can you compare it's performance with know controllers like sabvoton 72150 72100 7280, max, and kelly 7230, Kelly mini, or other controllers.

Re: Hubmonster 94% efficient 7kw rated $587

It's so hard to believe that hubs are made worse today than they were ten years ago.
If you after efficiency than use low Kv hub and run it high voltage battery, over 100v. But you won't reach 94%.
According simulator low Kv hub is slightly more efficient compared with high Kv hub.

Re: Disc Brake for Hub Motor (V3 QS)

100km/h is very fast. The kit you bought is for bicycle dropouts - ~145mm width, axle 16mm x 9mm. Decide what brakes you will use. Heavy thick moped rotor disks or thin light bicycle brake rotors. Moped rear forks usually have ~200m axles. So few options: -mill new 200mm axle for the hub -ask qs to ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Never touched generator. Only saw one in concert so don't know much about them. Your generator 1000w. There should be written wattage on charger. If bike charger less than 1000w than it is within limits. For example my charger is ~400watts (84v, ~5amps) so I think I could hook up two chargers to 100...

Re: My Electric Motorbike

Lower Kv would give you initial kick but with such ebike it would be disappointing loosing top speed. I was considering that Sabvoton72150 does it better than Kelly72300. Especially from stand still. Overall 72150 too small for your hub or was it 72200 than it's kind ok considering price. People say...

QS 3000W mid drive is about ~56Nm before it stalls with 400A phase. There is very similar motor and is used by Denzel. Denzel motor is capable of 100 km/h with their cafe racer and probably some Kelly controller. QS mid motor needs controller other than Kelly 72300 or Sabvoton 72150 to show its full...
