Re: Controller for Ezee motor.

I just had to replace a damaged gear in an Ezee Sprint Gen I motor that is about 6-7 years old. I had a MAC clutch with upgraded blue gears that I bought from EM3EV a couple of years ago and they looked identical so I thought I'd save the time & just replace the whole clutch BUT after I fitted the M...

Re: eZee motor Gen I controller alternative

Currently working on an Ezee Sprint where the controller intermittently gives 12 blinks and the motor electrics don't work. The manual says 12 blinks is a fault in the controller and to replace the controller. Unfortunately there are no more Gen I controllers available from the Australian distributo...

Re: What 36/48v controller for ezee 200rpm '250w'

I'm changing the controller on an Ezee at the moment. All the controllers I tried made it run backward. The normal method of changing direction didn't work, ..... Funny thing, I replaced a clutch assembly in an Ezee motor with one I got from EM3EV for a MAC motor because they looked identical. Prob...

Re: What 36/48v controller for ezee 200rpm '250w'

OK, they look like 350W Ezee motors that run off a 36V 20A controller. I managed to get a 26" wheel Ezee motor to run on an Ananda 36V 15A controller. I'm also in the process of changing a controller on an Ezee Sprint right now. It had an error code of 12 blinks which means a faulty controller but t...

Do you have a photo, or a link to one, for the 250W motor you are talking about?

Re: Bafang Gear Hub Disc Rotor Hole Depth Short?

Yes, the Bafang front BPM motors that I've come across have all had shorter than standard tapped threads for the disc rotor mounts. Just curious if anyone experienced this issue before. Got a new rear wheel to replace one that went bad, but while attaching the rotor I twisted a screw head off. Upon ...

Re: Bafang Gear Hub Strange Noise No Assist

Some front Bafang BPM motors had the ring rear press fit into the hub case and others had it notched. This might be the case for the rear motors also. If your ring gear is press fit then it could be slipping.

What gauge spoke thread rolling head do you want with it? I have one with a 14g head. The Cyclus heads fit the Hozan tool also.

EDIT that should be Cyclo not Cyclus

Re: 12s Lipo ballance charger Australia

Hi Allan,
The 6s chargers are quite common, can you split the pack into 2 x 6s? I'm not sure you can get 12s, the highest cell count I've seen is 10s and I use the icharger 1010b but am looking to upgrade to 3010 or even 4010 duo.

Re: How do police test compliance of ebike (Australia)

in the definition the motor is only there to assist, so you must be able to propel the bike by pedalling. If you have an over powered e-bike then always look like you are pedalling and not riding like a moped and you will be less likely to get pinged.

Re: Gocycle GS (new model) now on Kickstarter

I spoke to a guy at Sandgate QLD recently that had one of these. I think it was a G2. He loved it but said the handlebar 'dash' was a bit flimsy and was currently held on with sticky tape. Quite pricey though, I think he paid around $5000 aud for it.

So is this basically a friction drive on the inside of the rim?
It still looks like it's in the prototype stage, certainly not as well finished aesthetically as the Hycore Centinel wheel.
