Re: How do I run headlight off battery?

I use this type, direct to the battery up to 80v, 20w is very bright but 8w should do or have a couple with switching between.

Yes true if you shake off the K's, but this gets used for long and heavy sometimes two up hauls for overnight camping with maybe a dozen beers on board, don't get me wrong I love the way Ev's are going and there have been some ebikes that crossed this country with camp gear (about 3500kilometers) an...

Re: My Wife Sold My Bike

As far as giving up one smoke belcher for another, I've got no interest. My car has remained parked for over a year now. I do have something nearly the size of the Indian in the works, but a bit lower and aerodynamically sleeker, and powered by 2 or possibly 3 HubMonsters (whatever it takes to flat...

Well I did give it a go, it ran fine without blade but when I tried to mow it ran then cut-out and there seemed to be more sparking at the brushes, the part cost $40 from USA and also brakes the blade, I'm cutting again :D

there was a kids electric bike a few years back, that had two 12v cells in a plastic V twin engine shaped case. I seem to remember that one but there have been some better built bikes that have the ice look, the juicer comes to mind and there was another one featured here but can't remember the nam...

Somebody was once telling John Hillerman he was the guys ' favorite British actor. To which Hillerman replied "I'm from Texas." I was already missing him since he decided to retire 20 years ago. I've just finished watching an re-run of Magnum to come here and read this, I wouldn't have guessed Texan

He was stopped on the white line but I wanted to get some reason for his action but pulling up on his drivers side and taking his keys would have got a good reaction

This is the culprit, but with no visual signs of any burns it does have that burnt out stink inside, I did all checks, switch is fine, brushes all check out and I connected directly from battery to motor (blade removed) and it spins fine and after reading Dogmans post seems I have nothing to lose se...

Re: Unprotected Ryobi One+ Battery?

Looks like there is a motor controller in it according to the service manual, but it just treats it as a black box. There are so few cables coming out of it, it could be no more than a couple relays so that it doesn't start until both switches are on, but allows it to run as long as only one switch...

On second look I see only rear brake and a fixed crank so slowing is done by resistance pedaling, personally I would leave as is as a fun pedal only or very low power assist, maybe a rear hub with regen would work
