Re: Anyone know about the COBOX Wattmeter - Power Analyzer?

After several more attempts to contact the people at cobox-ebikes.com , we have given up. The PayPal order was never received after 5 days, so we cancelled that as well. Looked like a nice product, sorry the e-mail and PayPal order can't get a response on the promising COBOX Wattmeter. As mentioned ...

Re: Anyone know about the COBOX Wattmeter - Power Analyzer?

Hmm, striking out here! 1) No one has responded to our requests of COBOX-ebikes.com including a PayPal order! 2) the Neptune 15 tech support responded that their device must be the BMS for the pack and won't work unless the cell connections from at least 10 cells are connected The Cycle Analyst wins...

Re: Motor selection: sortable table in the Wiki - now 88 entries

Tx for replies we will get back to this. Sidetracked by promising use of hoverboards as portable, readily instrumented demo of a Light Electric Vehicle! With a HoverKart 2 or similar frame on top, this LEV can be tested by just about anyone over 10 years old regardless of their ability to balance on...

Re: Anyone know about the COBOX Wattmeter - Power Analyzer?

The Speedict.com Neptune line is the closest we could find to the COBOX Wattmeter for some of our educational demos. We have ordered each version COBOX Wattmeter and will post results once we are able to test them. If the Speedict Neptune can be setup without attaching individual cell monitoring lea...

Re: Speedict neptune lite

Thank you for the review of the Neptune 15! We would like to incorporate it into designs where the individual cell leads may not be available. Can this Neptune 15 be setup without connecting anything to the battery pack but the + and - discharge terminal leads? How can a separate charge and discharg...

Re: Motor selection: how to find Crystalyte hub motor information with little labeling?

We have a Crystalyte hub that a local experimenter installed into a school prototype vehicle at least 8 years ago. Now we have inherited the hub motor, CA v2.1 and a Lyen 124110 PWM controller. In order to setup a demo of PWM motors on a stand for LEVA Technician class in mid October, we are seeking...

Re: Semi Automated Battery Analysis (SABA), quirks

The setup described above works for 48v max with a West Mountain CBA IV, West Mountain CBA Charge Controller, Grin Tech Satiator, and a Windows PC with at least two USB 2.0 ports. We did find some quirks using the West Mountain CBA software: "cycle" count in West Mountain software counts each "charg...

Re: Semi Automated Battery Analysis (SABA)

We have found a few quirks in setup of the West Mountain CBA IV, CBA Charge Controller, and Grin Tech Satiator as a Semi Automated Battery Analysis (SABA) the default configurations of CBA Charge Controller have a 55v limit, and that limit IS enforced when encountered! BUT there is a mod that can be...

Many free stations, except for that J1772 adapter!

In Central NC many of the newer charging stations are Chargepoint stations and they do NOT accept a NEMA-5 or NEMA-6 -- you must have a J1772 connector and the basic charge control logic that is associated with that connector. Now there are designs on how to create your own adapter and at least two ...

Re: How to rebuild Currie 24v RTMB pack?

Sorry for delay in reply. Before opening up the RTMB plastic wrapped Li-Ion pack inside the aluminum housing, I decided to check with a GT Power A8 charger. It hadn't dawned on me that the A8 could test these larger ebike packs as I got the charger for much smaller nominally 12v ham radio Li and NiM...

I am testing 2 of these. Using balance wires and a balance charger to charge. I like them a lot and the price is right. Maybe the best cheaper battery out there. http://www.batteryspace.com/LiFePO4-Prismatic-Box-Battery-12.8V-20Ah-256Wh-10C-rate-without-PCM.aspx As soon as the integrated BMS versio...

OK, an update: Clean Republic CR1210 bamboo encased "12v 10ah" measure out to 9.5AH at C/5 discharge rate on GT Power A8 (WMR CBA IV on order). After 5 charge/discharge cycles on two different ebikes (Giant LaFree and Currie eFolder with 300w motor) still measure at about 9.5AH capacity. They are be...

Re: Sidewinder Easy Fit Endless Inner tube (24 & 26 Inch Whe

Having a 26" Cobra Linear/Sidewinder tube in repair kit is great idea for rear motor driven tire in a recumbent!

Now why is the larger 26" version only carried in UK and Australia?

I've posted to Jensen and Flybikes asking about the 26" version. Does anyone else have another source?

Oh, so this the "24v 2a" Li-Ion charger: https://www.curriestore.com/bikes-scooters/CH-2402-301A201119396/ And I see it and the RTMB battery pack lists "Li-Ion" not LiFePO4 chemistry. Well, the price of the ELF went up before production started. I assume the kickstarter funded ones sold for their listed $4000 base. How to determine which Currie motor is installed?

Which motor do I have on Trailz? Any ideas? What may I look for in the controll...
