Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

spoiled brat...thats nice my little fanboy. I stand by my statement, your first reply sounded entitled and angry, which didn't seem necessary to me. But you are right, this is my first e-bike, and yes, I like it, although it is not perfect. That said I knew what I was getting when I bought it, all ...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Merlin, you are coming across as a bit of a spoiled brat with your reply. If you would have preferred the company rep to use more technical terms, ask him politely for it maybe? Hell they even invited you to come and try the bike, so you can see for yourself if it will overheat with you on it, or if...

Re: Stealth, Qulbix, Cyklon, HPI, ??

I have ridden a KTM Freeride for a short test, and I have no doubt I'd rather be on that than my Q140MD if I was going out in busy traffic. That said, it will happily do it. Just tested some full throttle riding today, see this post in the Qulbix thread for my experience :)

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Results from today's testing :) Bike: Q140MD Rider: 86kg Ambient temp: 26 degrees C So I headed out today to test how hot the motor would get while doing some full throttle riding. Started at roughly 20 meters AMSL, and ended the full throttle run at 377 meters AMSL, so over 350 meters higher. 8 min...

Re: Cagiva / MV Agusta Motors (& KTM) electric freerider

To be honest I can't see this appealing to MV Agusta fans. Their motorbikes are stuffed to the brim with premium components, brembo brakes, öhlins suspension, magnesium this and carbon that and custom engines unique to the brand. This bike seems a bit more... budget? And the MV Agusta edition is eve...

Re: Stealth, Qulbix, Cyklon, HPI, ??

Quick reminder : it's not for an offrad use but for an "utility" bike used everyday for commute to work. That's why I don't care if it's a bike or motorbike, my only concern would be >70km/h not to be slower than cars on dangerous roads (road legal would be a plus, but not so sure of this anymore i...

Re: Cagiva / MV Agusta Motors (& KTM) electric freerider

Wow, 8500 Euro's... that is seriously pricy for a bike with a Bafang and DNM suspension. The frame looks trick, but I do wonder how they can justify this price. You could get a Spitzing M1, full carbon, 1000 watt motor, fox shocks all around, magura breaks +++ for less money.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

There's another guy on YouTube showing a full ride and I was shocked about the quick overheating. He has the slowest gearing and even on street he reaches 120 degree. Don't know why but if this is normal this md140 sucks hard for what I expected and compare to surron/lmx bikes. For what it's worth ...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Updating on life with the Q140MD! Went for a forest ride on my KTM today (2019 690 Enduro R), and wow is that thing a heavy beast in the forest... now keep in mind I used to ride an R1200GS out on single track, but the last few months of only riding the Q140 has seriously ruined motorcycles for me :...

Re: Cagiva / MV Agusta Motors (& KTM) electric freerider

Guess that depends on the usage - I thought the same as you but for off road use I really like the small size (by motorbike standards at least) of my Qulbix. Makes it easy to throw around and get over tough terrain, and even carry for shorter distances if needed. But to the Giua (how does one pronou...

Re: Cagiva / MV Agusta Motors (& KTM) electric freerider

Why did you have to post this, I was thinking of going legit next year with an eu legal pedelec but this Guia looks amazing, and a great middle ground between a high power ebike like my 15kw Qulbix and a boring old 250W pedelec... :bigthumb:

since OP is in france, same as ebike43 / vtt électrique enduro.. then test ride and local pick up may be available..
good point on sound level comparison though, jackshaft reduction will have more noise than direct drive..
Missed that, good point!

Re: Stealth, Qulbix, Cyklon, HPI, ??

All depends on your background really - are you looking for a quiet motorbike, or a fast e-bike, or just a little extra push on the steepest hills. In the OP's case he specifically states he wants to replace his motorcycle, then I don't think a 1000W bicycle will cut it. I came from off road motorc...

Re: Stealth, Qulbix, Cyklon, HPI, ??

He asked for an e-bike, and you guys direct him to e-motorcycles? I still think a bike and a motorcycle are two different things, but whatever... With your budget, I would go straight for a Guià , best highly engineered vehicle of this kind that's around now. The other bikes you mentioned look too ...

Re: Are footpegs superior if you don't pedal?

Old thread - but I recently swapped the pedals on my Q140MD for footpegs, and it was absolutely brilliant. I only ride in the forest, so I'm not so worried about what people think as long as the bike is silent. Pro's: - No more pedal strikes! - No more worrying about what foot to have up, down, forw...

Congrats on the new bike, hopefully it will arrive quickly! I just did a 4 hour ride this weekend together with a friend on a regular e mountainbike, fun to see how the two compare. Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Can't see any issue with getting a Fox 40 27.5 and running a 26 inch tire in it? The 27.5 is much easier to find, and would give more space between the tire and a mudguard so you could run beefy tread patterns :) Keen to hear how you get on with the Fox 40, engate, as it is almost 10x the price of t...
