Re: 60kw bicycle

So if the QS 260 is 1.5-5kw how is this one running at 60kw? I find miscellaneous suggestions of 70h peaking at 10kw.

Re: Even the mormon capital of the USA has legalized medicinal cannabis..

Not even when the users create problems for others and just don't care? How would you handle the problem? To China, the solution to their opium problem was to kill them with kindness. The government left it a little enforced crime but imposed taxes as they were broke, they let people pretend opium w...

Re: Modifying an Oxygen Lepton with Leaf Batteries and a Kelly Controller

Are you sure you're not using up the Oxygen's hub potential? Stick I'd say maybe you notice it a bit better than a moped, so the new controller adds a bit more but nothing dramatic. Then I think you reach that point only a hub change will improve things. Had one, good choice to get rid of the contro...

Re: Insurance Problems?

The plot thickens. First they sent a letter that the case was closed and there's nothing they can do. Today I get a letter and they say they're transferring it to RUS-8175271. So what the hell is THAT? Nothing is coming up in my search.

Re: Volkswagen says last generation of combustion engines to be launched in 2026

It is what it is, and yet... I have investigated brewing alcohol as a fuel (to fill-in for gasoline), and also growing crops to make bio-diesel. and if given a choice, I am firmly in the camp of bio-diesel made from vegetable oil. VW may have "cheated" but nobody knows diesel like VW. I'd waive the...

Dang, how did you happen to figure that one out? My one thought was it wasn't a question I'd expect a first time poster to bring here.

Re: Squaring a Drill Press Table

What I used to do at the Boys Club in the shop as a kid was with a rod bent maybe 45 degrees, whatever fits, so I could both level the table and of course be sure that the drill was at 90 degrees from it. Basically you put one end in the drill and tighten, then you should be able to spin it and it t...

I need so of this guy's attitude right now.

Oh, just remember the things people so knowingly said. So many high horses, so many mantles to lean against dragging on their pipe they'll empty into the fireplace. And always the little boy who doesn't see the emperor's new clothes.

Do You Know the Law on your Insurance for your State?

So here we go again, now it's my CAR insurance. I got a weird message from Allstate (He said) that my insurance was going to be cancelled if I didn't call back and give him my "Confirmation Number." What confirmation number? They've never had anything like that. So I'm thinking it's just another fra...

Re: What did you do before ES and what's your work now?

When I first found ES I was working when I could in "Television," which refers to using particular types of equipment to make video, basically good enough for broadcast type work. That has blurred a bit, but we consider the GoPro less in that category than we did then. And also as a professional wri...

Re: The future of our forum - facebook versus web forums

I'm a big fan of forums. There's a reason they persist to this day - they do their job extremely well :es: The first thing to hook me was forums. Even with the trolls, who basically made me popular for my ability to slap them up. Sometimes the best discussion has razor focus, others it drifts and p...

"Stuck" in the way they use it usually means they think it works, If it does, don't fix it. So this old man told me the story of his company just HAD to have Java in the early days. He's getting the whole 'What a LOSER' treatment for opposing it. So they went with Java, made him handle the legacy de...

Yeah, pedals work best on bicycles, with nothing more than. But he wants a 4 seater with enough electric power to help him get around slowly.

And of course, what we all REALLY want, maybe:

Re: Let's design a body for a Rhoades Car

That's good, but he wanted pedals. The Instructables bike I posted is three wheel pedal, you could put a Morgan like body on it. His Rhoadescar is a 4 seat, a desire to be considered in alternatives.

I love this thread, let's have more ideas.

So I don't know if this is Black Friday or what, Pep Boys gave me tires. Buy 2, get 2 free. I get Falken ZIEX ZE950's that I wouldn't have spent so much on so I put them on the OEM wheels which I'mputting back on for the tire sensors so I can smog the car. Then I'm putting the Bullitt wheels back on...

Attachment loads fine but doesn't post suggests to me you mean you don't see it on the page. If your pics are over 600 pixels either way there can be problems. If it shows the attachment in the post you can click on it. But I don't see your page so I can only speculate.

Re: First-ever plane with no moving parts

Probably too old to patent (you can't patent a common wheelbarrow). But you can patent new technology for a wheelbarrow. I doubt there's any real patent on this, the expression "Reduced to a practice" can't be proven. Even if there was, it's probably not defensible for the same reason. It would be ...

Since I wouldn't expect you'll find help closeby, you should check a search on the subject that includes homemade and store bought under $200.
