Re: Luna Cycle's "world's safest battery" lacking MSD

Just sent the shipper the MSDS for the raw cells. This is what boosted boards does when shipping to japan. This is more informative than any battery pack MSDS anyways.

Read a power tool battery msds. Most don't mention even the battery voltage let alone how the cells are arranged/packaged

Re: Tesla Model 3 battery teardown!

The precision/accuracy of 30 year old cnc wirebonding machine tech is more than enough for large cells. Today's machines are way overkill Simply use thermal camera with machine vision to flag bad "welds". Load test before encapsulation You can think of the bus bar layer as a flex pcb but instead of ...

Note the insulating dividers between banks of parallel cells . The cells in parallel are ok if they do touch. Banks in serries cannot touch Contractors at the gigafactory went to the media yelling hysterical about defective model 3 battery packs. The media pays cash on the down low if you have any n...

you can see far ahead an oncoming car's headlights comes out diagonally from the taillight of the car ahead traveling in the same direction. this happens in the first second of the video at the same moment the woman/bike was in the shadows this was likely "trippy" for the neural net and "consumed" i...

water seeks its own level forget rotary motors and just think about a linear motor (unrolled rotary motor) imagine two moving magnets on the top of the assembly held securely 3 inches apart, each magnet a sqaure block 1x1x1 inch cubed, placed on rails such that they can only move left/right, one mag...

Cool battery pack!

Are the holders/connectors made of aluminum? If so what about oxidation? Aluminum oxide is a insulator. I guess you could sand before assembly and hope it stays air tight...

Maybe you know this and they are nickel plated copper? :)

You can't "California Roll" stop signs on a motorcycle anymore without getting fined (If you do it often and daily) Il-legal ebikes are now the fastest way to get from point a to b. Officers aren't stupid they know your fugly ebike is above the legal limit but jaded officers know the difference betw...

Lucky the killacycle didn't actual kill bill (Billy Dube) When I worked on a drag bike we had a push button where your thumb goes on the handlebar. If you didn't press the push button continuously while using the throttle; the throttle would not work. Also protected from idiots coming up and crankin...

Re: Preowned Model S at EXTREMELY low cost

actually the depreciation is much less than similar BMW's and Merc's very strong used car market. A shit ton of <40k teslas sold out in 1 day. Now they added a few more Tesla is very smart with their CPO's....it costs them nothing to enable autopilot, ludicrous mode, and bump the pack capacity, etc....

Re: Preowned Model S at EXTREMELY low cost

If you plan on keeping the car a while the best one to get is the 85D. The first gen RWD drivetrain (P or not) has issues. The 90/100/late70/late75 packs have cells sprinkled with silicon that seem to be degrading faster than they should be if you supercharge often so they are tapering the charge ve...

I don't need money. It's the hassle that's an issue, so pass your own hat to get the funds together to make the bet, which is the one thing I'll overcome the hassle. If you lose then I'll give you a more than even chance to win it back by going double-or-nothing against my little electric scooter. ...
