Re: PV NextGen Controller FOC compact 150v 22kw Max - $499

The new BT module exists as a standalone product and is plug and play with the CA connector: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100452 And owners of the previous version of the module qualify for a special upgrade price. News to me that it is finally available! However, I'm not ...

The BT is integrated on the board and it's the latest hardware version.
What about those folks who want to use your cool app but already have an investment in a controller?
Or are you planning on continuing to sell the old BT module?

Re: My design for a 100Ah 7.2V module

The idea that 2/20 strings will have a different resistance connection seems sub-optimal, might even be worth going down to 14P to prevent that. If necessary, a separate "supplementary" 20S1P pack could be paralleled if needed, in that case the longer wires does not matter. Not sure I share your co...

Re: AliExpress battery pack unboxing (for my eZuma project)

any data on how to program the speed or voltage range? Other than trial and error? Nope. But there is a glimmer of hope: the vendor responded to my query with a request for the diameter of my tire (however, that is not what I asked for). We'll see how he responds. Not holding my breath though. M P....

Electra rides with the big boys.

Went for a 30mi run with "the big boys" today. A fairly big event south of Boston with Police escort through five towns. About 300 bikes all told. The cause was to raise money for kids with cancer (see Magical Moon Foundation: https://www.magicalmoon.org ). Here's a pix of my little electric scooter...

sorry, 7.2V? what is this for?
Each individual module is 7.2v. Ten of these modules in series would be 72v. This is to be an “upgrade” of my current 50ah battery which powers my eScooter/motorcycle (as shown in my avatar)

My design for a 100Ah 7.2V module

So I'm starting to design my second battery pack. I'm toying with using Queen Battery QB26800 6800mAh li-ion cells. I've come up with a modular solution that uses a 2s15p layout resulting in a 7.2V 100Ah module. Ten of these modules in series would give me 72V 100Ah, which is my target battery pack ...

Hah! After complaining to the vendor that I still don't understand their documentation he asks for the circumference of my current tire! (given to him earlier in the purchasing process) Here's the (humorous?) back-and-forth thread on AliExpress: I could use a better explanation as to how to set the ...

Re: Pricing - 45mph cruise, 60mph top, 50 mile range (cruise speed)

yeah, I know its much lower specific energy density but that cycle life and high discharge/charge is enticing to make a bike from it. only problem is where would you even supercharge it? standard usa wall sockets are 1500W so a 72V20A charger is over that and doing two will trigger every circuit br...

Re: Pricing - 45mph cruise, 60mph top, 50 mile range (cruise speed)

So, realistic pricing scenario here guys, I want a 45mph cruise, 60 mph top, and 50 mile range at 45mph ebike. This is basically the equivalent of a 125cc motorcycle (Z125, Grom) but of course pure electric. If you had to do it what would be the build and cost. I would do it with LTO batteries and ...

Re: QSmotor/SiAecosys/Taizhou CT-22 Programming. 1 of 8

With a lot of trial and error, I got the speedometer to match my GPS. Yay! But I still don't know how the programming part works, I think I just got lucky. In layman's terms there are two parameters that you modify to adjust the speedometer. I'll call them 0-xxxx (speed?) and 1-xxxx (mileage?), wher...

Re: QSmotor/SiAecosys/Taizhou CT-22 Programming. 1 of 8

Well, the installation went smoothly but definitely not "Plug and Play". I'm very happy with the way it looks on my bike. It also is quite readable in bright sunlight which was a key thing for me. Programming the clock and selecting metric vs. imperial was easy. I have not yet attempted to program t...

yeah, dont expect to saturate this thing at all. its a homemade batt 336 30q cells in 28s 12p in theory its rated 180amps continuous but id rather not go over 150 peak (10 secs ) and hover around 100 continuous. soldered together with 16G copper wire Well, therein lies the problem. Wiring the APT AE96600 controller

Well, the hypothesis was flawed from the get-go. As others on ES had suggested elsewhere, it was a bad brake switch that was passing 5V when inactive. Replacing the switch solved the problem. But in the meantime, I have a fried PowerVelocity bluetooth module which no longer works. And no word from P...

Re: QSmotor/SiAecosys/Taizhou CT-22 Programming. 1 of 8

BTW, one of the reasons I chose the CT-22 is that it has a "notch" in the bottom of the bezel -- a perfect space for adding a CA later. See below: CT-22 + CA.1280.jpg P.S. IMHO, using a CA for a speedometer may suffice for an eBike but for an eMotorcycle I find the small busy screen next to useless ...
