Re: Magnax bvba Axial Flux Motors

I suspect the numbers are only theoretical, and Magnax have not yey produced these motors.
Their main design /business is large dia , direct drive, generator units for wind turbines.

Re: Tesla Model 3

I have not heard of Tesla(Panasonic) , or any other cell manufacturers, that have technology anywhere near commercial that would give double the energy density as required for a 700kg , 200kWh , pack.

Re: Magnax bvba Axial Flux Motors

Daan from Magnax was posting over on the Diycar forum .. Hi guys, Thanks for the comments. I removed the in-wheel picture from the website since it gives people the impression that we do in-wheel powertrains. But we only deliver the AF motor. How customers implement the motor (in-wheel or chassis) i...

(A) .. there is no scientific proof of its effect ....All we have is theorys and predicdictions There is scientific proof that CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Fact. Re: Tesla Model 3

A blanket statement saying that 200kwh in a single car battery is bad for the environment has no meaning as we don't know the production process of said future battery. If it's made at a solar power gigafactory than it might be 100% environmentaly friendly. How many solar powered Gigafactories are ...

I would add ocean going shipping to the list of liquid fuel dependant systems.
Current and forseeable battery systems cannot provide the energy density required for that either.

Re: Tesla Model 3 battery teardown!

The battery is not exactly anything new ..is it ? Its cells, the configuration, construction, capacity, etc etc have all been discussed before. In that video, they did not seem to understand it too well anyway, refering to "whiskers" or contactors when we know they are the fusible links. And certain...

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

You are all missing the point. Shure there are many facinating properties of our atmoshpheric gas's, IR adsorbtion being one (but what about re-radiation ?) ..but none of these allow for the multiple other factors..clouds, thermals etc...let alone for the sheer scale of a planetary system, so how ca...

There has never been a verified, controlled , repeatable, scientific experimment, to quantify , Or even measure, the "Greenhouse effect" of CO2 The first one was in 1896.
