The Haliade-X 12 MW also features a 63% capacity factor
You do realise that is a THEORETICAL gross capacity factor. ?
Its not an actual monitored result....its just sales patter exaggeration !
..and they never disclose the internal power consumption or NET output under controlled tests.

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

Our economy is fine. Privatley for me energy prices are perfectly fine. I could very easy pay twice or three times per kWh for electricity, heating and fuel. If needed I could even pay 10 times (would not like to do that), but this is not even likely. But..its not about YOU .! ...its about that hug...

With a mid drive, i route the power cable up the seat tube (external) to a connector under the seat. Backpack cable runs down to the back of the seat for connection Allow enough coiled cable to enable mount/dismount easy. Recommend a easy pull connector incase of emergency. All very stealth a...

Only negative of DH frames is they generally have little space for a battery.
Any ebike, especially serious off road ebiles , ride so much better wothout the battery fixed to the frame.
A backpack battery is a huge step up from fixed packs, and often much more secure from theft.

Numbers and averages can be deceptive. You may well already have 60% power from RE .."Averaged over the year" .. But there are many periods when wind and solar are contributing almost nothing., and the 100% thermal back up plants have to save the day... Where is the problem? At the end of the year ...

rooftop PV solar ! Don't forget to subtract grid installation and maintenance/distribution costs from that. Why ? Tesla’s fuel is electrons..from the grid or a power point. The “fuel” is stored in cells produced By Panasonic .!

The practical question isn't really who was the first to do it inhouse, or who is still doing it inhouse, but who actually made it work as economy of scale.... Yes, but as I say, that is yet to be done in the GF. They are not yet at 25% capacity, and “who” should be credited with amy success anyway...

That's a huge margin of error!! So yeah, the ~50 years of GOOD data statement applies. We just weren't thinking about climate as much in the past, so the trail from here to there is pretty murky... Flight performance is always dictated by (amoungst many other things)... Power and weight. And in the case of electric aircraft, that weight is dictated by battery capacity/power ratios. I suspect this RR design is a compromise on battery weight/discharge power, endurance, and capacity. IE, they cou...
