Re: My first massive controller with these connectors

Although overkill I insert wires, flux and solder then after crimping I heat up the fitting with a torch for what I feel is the best of both worlds......just on 8 gauge and heavier wire.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Can’t you just buy a shorter version of what your already using? Dnm shocks are dirt cheap compared to any name brand bicycle shocks..... you could also go air shock for complete adjustability.

Re: How Many Amps 2 Pole Speakon Socket handle?

I’ve been using the 2 pole pumping 30+ amps into it and while it gets hot.....it’s not so hot that I can’t touch it.

I’m going to switch to the 4 pole to lower the amp per connection.

Re: MIG Welding questions

You still have to clean everything well.....if any smoke, contaminates or oxygen get in your shielding gas it will make your welds porous. Sheilding gas keeps oxygen out to control the weld burn.....add oxygen and just like a cutting torch it will blow holes in it. Biggest mistake most do going from...

Looks like they could be great controllers just simply on size.....they have many, many features as a bonus. BMS coming soon it says.

Need someone to come out with a full controller/display/BMS package......again.

Re: JP spot welder

That is super complex. I like the not complex version I have been following for Years compliments of madin88. While I would be quite arrogant in saying “I’m excellent at soldering” I would be scared of that many connections in fear of a cold solder joint. I betcha you would need some really serious ...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Very nice looking set up Litespeed. I owe the a lot of the excellent handling characteristics to your research on the tires. The Shinko 241’s are the shit! Appreciate you doing that for the rest of us. Thanks for the kind words. I’ll tell you a 14KW bike that weighs in at 125 lbs with all that squi...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

I originally wanted a 4T but got an excellent deal on this combo. My bike will easily get into the mid 70 mph range. It’s actually a bicycle fender I just have never painted it.i put the Hubsinks and ferrofluid on early as I have heated hubs up before. It keeps my hub nice and cool and lets me use a...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

I wanted a 18” wheel but I got a great deal on a 3.5T in a 17” rim with a matching 19” front. I run a 3.00 Shinko 241 tire on the rear and a 2.75 on front. Bigger is always better. I wanted to run a 3.5 with a 18” rim........

Go with a 3.00 minimum or better yet 3.50 if it will fit!

That looks great Tom. Does all that fit in a Bomber frame? I just don't have that kind of skill. You guys think Chinese battery's are risky, mine would be the bomb lol I got a reply from china. Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Build a 30Q pack correctly and it will outlive your 5 year old pack you had. Here is mine I built. I was inspired by maddin88 and always build mine like his as far as nickel is concerned. Mine is an overkill 30Q pack at 20s15p but more the merrier and the longer life. I pull currents as high as 200 ...

Rich,

Looks good to me. Like the custom nickel strips. How much amperage are you planning on pulling out of this pack?

Personally I just use round 10g copper wire for current share, yours looks better though.

Re: Mobipus Controller Official

From the web site it says 1030 rpm at 72 volts 14.31 KV 29.75 m/Ohmes peak phase of 387.60. The MaxE is perfect in EVERY way except throttle response. It take a long time for amps to build from a dead stop but midrange power is pretty awesome. I’m sure that saves a lot of wear and tear on components...

Re: Mobipus Controller Official

I would like to see how the 72400 would works with my QS205 3.5T motor in a 17” rim. I’d probably never go over 250 battery amps but sometimes want more than the MaxE puts out now.

Re: Any advantage of one layout over the other?

Down side to outputs being on opposite sides are then you have to run one lead way longer than the other. So anyway you look at it one lead or polarity will have more resistance than the other. I doubt there are many designs that the controller could be placed dead center of the pack keeping all thi...
