Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I don't know if anyone can help me with this but I am still struggling with my throttle setup on my MaxE. I have both a Magura and a Hall throttle which work perfectly on my MinE (on another bike), but when I plug them into the MaxE, I can't do autodetect (I get the throttle interrupt message). Both...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Great to see your name pop up again Phil :D Controllers have come a very long way since I last put a 500 W ebike together. I'm sure there's help around. Thanks Chris, yes, I am back to sending myself insane with Ebikes. Tell me about the controllers. If you had told me I would be able to put a 14KW...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I am currently upgrading a bike with a MinE to a MaxE. The MinE is probably first generation, I just bought the MaxE. When I go to do the auto detect, it says that calibration has been interrupted by throttle (as if I stopped pressing the throttle but I haven't). I have tried it with two separate th...

I have this frame, http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=47&product_id=209 and it is awesome. I run it with the crappy rear shock sold on that website, and Boxer World Cup triple clamp forks, an Adapto controller, 16S Lipo 40ah and am really happy with it. You definatly want go...

Re: Hub Motors for Cargo Bikes

I should note, the motorcyle tyre I run is so fat, that I had to cut off the rim brake posts on the Yuba with an angle grinder so the tyre could fit. Totally worth it to never get a flat again.

Re: Hub Motors for Cargo Bikes

I have been off ES for a while, but I recently renovated my Yuba Mundo, I will update my thread properly when I get a chance, but I made a few big changes. I built a 50AH 12S Lipo pack out of three 50ah bricks of 4s series together, with an Adapto controller which is magic for keeping them all balan...

Thanks for this. For some reason I hadn't noticed the plates were only bolted on. I can't believe I missed that. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated.

Re: Ekross Vector Aussie build

Hi Kiwi, I was talking to CowardlyDuck and he put me onto your thread. I am putting together a Vector with a HS4065, and to start with I had a 6 speed freewheel, but that leaves me with a ridiculous amount of space (as the dropouts are so widely spaced on the vector), so I had a million washers on e...

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have started wading through all the Adapto threads etc.., and have used the search function and can't find it. I am about to set up an Adapto with a Crystallite HS40, what are the hall colour combos to line up with an Adapto? ie, which colour wire goes to whi...

Can anyone confirm that ist allowed for everyone to ride a horse in NYC without a riderlicens and insurance whilst ebikes are banned ? the idea of holding a tazer capable device near my head, often, would make me paranoid ... Do you mean aesthetically or in an overall sense (eg including culture/people etc..)? Houston doesn't look bad from a helicopter I am sure, but it is an awful shithole. Baton Rouge, Louisiana has to be up there in the shithole stakes too. There is a mining town in Queensland, Australia called Mt Isa...

That is not overkill, that is just awesome, and is what all hubmotor axles deserve. Well done sir. Sure, your torque arm looks all Mandingo like and totally cruel, but hubmotor axles are like Sasha Grey. They look all small and harmless, but always somehow end up sending most "beefy" torque arms int...

I recently changed laptops and lost my favourites, but I had a company who are in Melbourne (I think it was Melbourne), and they make awesome custom chainrings. Re: 4mm goldie got hot - anderson as replacement?

I only use 6mm bullets on phases. I have had Andersons melt on phase wires that many times, they are way more problematic than any kind of bullet. Because even if they don't 'melt' visibly, sometimes they just get hot enough to deform and cause the contacts to weaken/cut. If I was you I would get bi...

I own a Greyborg I built with 20AH of 20S lipo, and a 5404, which I call my "Welfare Stealth Bomber", but I also own what might be called a "Homeless Man's Stealth Bomber" (if we accept my Greyborg to be the "welfare" rung), and that is a Giant DH comp, with Kiwi's dropout adaptors. I paid $500 Aus ...
