Stealth Bikes DC-1 BMS

Hello everyone I decided to get back in to the E-bike hobby and am in the process of designing my next build. My question is does anyone know if its possible to buy a similar BMS as the one that comes with the new Stealth B-52 E-bikes? That thing looks just amazing!

Need advice on battery pack build

Hello everyone I have decided to come back to the e-bike world after getting continually harassed by police on my gas powered bike. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the chinese lipo cells that they advertise on sites like Alibaba etc. My idea was to buy some lipo pouch cells th...

12fet lyen default settings

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the default settings are for a 12fet Lyen controller? I am going to be using one on my Gio scooter which has a 60V lead acid battery and an 800W hubmotor.

Re: Re wire Xlyte from APM to CA

If its a newer crystalyte sensorless controller then I dont think you can wire the cycle analyst to it. Justins instructions are for the older controllers. I couldnt get mine to work. If you get a cycle analyst with a speedo magnet in the wheel then it will work. I think that Crystalyte did this in ...

Re: RELIABLE e-bike setup

The thing that screws me is the fact that I live on one hell of a hill! That is the whole reason why I got into e-bikes, you really wouldnt wanna pedal up this beast! The Gio scooter just barely made it up! I tried it when it was 48V with no shunt and I had to push it up one part.

RELIABLE e-bike setup

I have been into e-bikes for over 4 years now and I think that the longest stretch of problem free riding has been like 1 month! I realize that when you run 72V and higher the bikes become a little bit unreliable. I went out and bought one of those Gio 800W scooters because I wanted something that w...

Re: Sick of manipulated dealer specs!

Yeah its pretty rediculous the claims some of these dealers make in an attempt to sell their products. When I bought my Gio scooter the guy claimed that it would do 70km on the 48V20Ah Lead acid battery. I live on a steep hill and I only get 22km out of a charge! Thats a little bit less than 70km lol.

Re: controller or motor issue

I cant figure this thing out! Now it just makes noise but doesnt move. I checked the halls with a Lyen tester and it says they are good. I checked the phase wires and it says they are also good. I checked the controller with his tester and it spins the circle on the tester fine. I cant figure this o...

controller or motor issue

I have an issue with either the controller or motor on my e-scooter. Sometimes when Im riding and I stop, when I go to go again and I twist the throttle I get nothing. I have to turn the key off then on for it to work. When I am testing the scooter with wheel off the ground, sometimes it wont go whe...

Well then I dont understand why dealers arent stocking the 5304 motors. If they only have to order 50 Im sure there wouldnt be a problem selling them.

BRING BACK THE CRYSTALYTE X5300'S!!!

Hey everyone I think that we should all send e-mails to Crystalyte asking them to bring back the 5300 series of motors! I think they are so much better for people that like to run high watts through their motors and they should never have stopped production! Maybe they could even offer the 5400 seri...

Hub motor recommendations

I recently purchased a Gio 800W scooter because I want to build a sleeper scooter. I am going to install a Lyen 12fet programmable controller and most likely re-configure my 72V LiFePo4 pack so it will fit in the compartments. I want to run this thing at around 65A continuous or maybe more. Does any...

BMS balance leads

I have started on a new project and I have a question regarding the BMS. My battery is going to be split into 2 parts and it is going to go in 2 separate locations. I will need to extend half of my balance leads to reach the front pack. Is it important that my leads be all the same length? If so I w...

Re: 18fet Lyen problem

When I put it to 121% the freewheel speed goes over 100km/h so it does something. I must need to keep playing with the settings on the controller. I wonder if I might have gone too high on the settings?? Tomorrow I will start out at 40A battery and 100A phase and go up slowly from there. Should I us...

Your right, it cant be the wiring because it did run way better before programming. I really cant understand why I cant get that power back!

Re: 18fet Lyen problem

Is it possible that I may have the wrong wire combination on my controller to motor connections?? The thing is smooth it just has no torque on the hills. When I spin it with no load it goes 95km/h.

Re: 18fet Lyen problem

Yeah I did it without the Cycle analyst even plugged in. I just soldered the shunts and the bike is still slow as hell. I think maybe its the motor. I just think it doesnt have enough power to pull me up the hills. I am 225 lbs and my bike probably weighs 95 lbs with the battery. I guess I need to g...

Re: 18fet Lyen problem

I did that test with 10% and the 3 speed switch is working fine but the bike still has nowhere close to the power it had yesterday. The bike has barely enough power to pull me along. I can't understand what could be wrong.

18fet Lyen problem

I recently took my Tidalforce bike with a 72V Headway pack, a HS-3540 motor and an 18fet Lyen controller for its first ride. It topped out at 75km/h and was pretty fun. It could use a little more power I thought so I tried to re-program it. First I used the Lyen software and I put something like 57A...

Magura throttle with current limiting

Hello I am going to get a Magura throttle because I am sick of replacing the cheap plastic twist ones! I read that you need to add a resistor to get proper throttle modulation but what about if I am running the current limiting throttle? (the one that goes through the cycle analyst) Do I still need ...

Re: Specialized Enduro Comp / BMC Build Thread

I really like this bike!! Mounting the battery pack to the forks is a smart idea and that bike looks so clean! I hope that you don`t mind if I copy you on my Norco Shore build. I was going to use a backpack but I would much rather keep the Lipo further away from me if possible.

Re: Tidalforce S-750 build

I am using my 72V20Ah Headway pack that is split into 2 parts for balance. The bike hit 75km/h on the flat at only 57A max! I will up the amps today and try it out if it ever stops raining. One thing that I would like to make is some kind of cover that will wrap around all the wires in the back by t...
