Zenid's Ego Scoota - FOR SALE! - PICKUP ONLY (UK)

Some people here might remember me from Zenid's Ego Scoota Blog , the story of the many upgrades and refinements I made to my Ego Scoota. The bike has been garaged for some time now, so the Lithium Pack is non-working and needs refurbishing . But I am now buying a Nissan Leaf, so I am selling this a...

Stroke survivors needed for online task. PLEASE HELP!

I have just under 8 weeks to collect remaining data for this project. If you have had a stroke, please help test a brand new instrument based on morphing faces.

Re: Have you had a stroke?

The "within five years" stipulation has been removed. If you have had a stroke, ever, you are eligible to take part. I'm about half way there now, and just need another 20 participants. Thanks for people who already took part.

Re: Have you had a stroke within the last 5 years?

no stroke but heart attacks and yeh its affected my moods big time, i blame the medication as im not the person i used to be. Yes, sorry to hear it. Any kind of ischaemic attack is bad and life-changing. This research is intended to help people who've had their language badly affected after a strok...

Have you had a stroke?

Hi, just a notice to any stroke survivors or their relatives, here. I'm involved in a study of a mood assessment instrument and need to recruit some stroke survivors for a short (10-15 min) task. I'd appreciate it if you could pass the link on if you know anybody who's recovered or recovering from a...

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

Mouser part 283-6.2-RC (Rx04/Rx05 - 6.2Ω) is no longer available unless you buy a ridiculous number, now (1000), so it's been substituted for part 283-10-RC (10Ω) in the order forms (as per Richard's substitution suggestions). If they go back to stocking the 283-6.2-RC in sensible amounts, I'll chan...

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

I got that :) Edited my post to be less ambigous - your BOM has only one, but the board needs at least two. Thanks, Marc. I see what you mean now: the Mouser order forms BOM, *not* the Word document BOM. I've fixed this in the Mouser order forms accordingly. Thanks for testing that out and reportin...

Never did this test but finally got everything together and I think it works! Charging a 15Ah LiFePO4 Headway pack with two 54v Meanwell's (max voltage without load is 119 volts). [...] Below are two videos, one of the beginning of charge and other at the end. In both you can see the issue with the...

yep, you should :D on RX07 (1kΩ resistor) there is only a quantity of 1... (both versions) No big deal as I somehow ordered the LifePo4 (RX01 = 48.7kΩ) for my AESC cells... BTW, what's the formula to calculate RX01 for a desired voltage? Let's say I prefer 4.0V HVC to prolong the life of my investm...

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

Just a quick question though, Is there anyway to add the ability show the cell voltages on an LCD or something to that extent? It would be awesome for the ability to have an Arduino, RPI or other tech that would allow the ability to query the voltages of each cell and total pack voltages... My pack...

Re: 12 x 4110 MOSFET Extreme Modder Controller LYEN Edition

hello, I set the amps now on maximum (65A and 165A). problem is: if the lipo is (20s, 84V, zippy 8000mAh) fully charged and i give full throttle, the motor begin to stutter. if i give very slow full throttle, it works! the problem is solved after a view minutes if the lipo is a little bit discharge...

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

To clarify, I am not going to use the charger portion of the board. I am only going to use the cell balancing and take to lvc and hvc signals to my own circuits. Lvc will probably just sound a warning and the hvc may shut off the charger, depends on if I get a new charger capable of that or not. So...

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

I'm building a 48 cell pack for a ev car (Chevy volt cells). Is there any reason I couldn't use 2 -24 cell sets of this BMS? So, basically, Richard, the answer to yopappamon's question about daisy-chaining up to 48s is yes, but a minor mod needs to be made to keep the voltage regulator powered from...

What's this limit based on? I thought the FETs would get toasted with that much wallop!

Richard says that each board is suitable for "5s to 24s" (as specced in the shop). I take from that that it can handle a minimum of 5s.

Re: "Zephyr" - Finally, the "v4" Fechter/Goodrum/Hecker BMS.

On some versions of the board, there were holes for the diode that placed it between the two main FETs. You can put it there or on the side, whatever is easier. It should look more or less like this: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=141854 The diode addition Richard describes h...

I've had queries about substitutions for the now obsolete 512-FAN431LZXA. I already PMed Richard about this because I need spares for my own Zephyr unit. That's right. There's a full BOM parts list in the documentation referred to earlier (which can just be pasted into an order from Mouser), plus instructions for assembly and testing:

No, these experiments are shorter (about 25-35 mins), so they pay less. £4/$7 per experiment equates to about $14/hour if you want to look at it that way...

If you do BOTH experiments, then it is £8 or $14 total.
