Re: Another lipo fire - house damaged

Glad the damage was minimal, that's what stopped me from continuing my build. I just can't risk a fire here. Stupidest move for me was selling the Spoiler, but I digress. Better luck next time.

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

Hi Kim, nice to hear from ya. I found this, http://www.amazon.com/Euro-to-US-Adapter/dp/B0030W1BRQ
Guess I'll try and see if it works. Still think the light was a waste of money, but at least it ought to keep working once the adapter arrives.

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

Well it showed up. not sure it's worth the trouble of posting pics as much as warning the rest of you to avoid them! The light is only 260 lumens, the charger is not compatable with American power outlets, and the thing arrived with a dirty lens. WTF. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do with a charg...

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

Ordered a new headlight for the bike, https://www.supertorch.com/en/index.php
Anyone ever deal with these guys? If it shows up, and the government spy chips allow it to work, I'll bolt it to the reflector tab and it should work well.

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

Hello again everyone, time for another Holiday season update in the continuing saga to build the most stupidly expensive and overcomplicated bicycle, I have ever had! In other words, I've wasted more precious cash trying to get my crippled old arse back on 2 wheels, and now you get to hear about it,...

Hello AW, sorry for your loss. Don't know where or how I missed this thread, guess I just haven't been on here much. I will send you something as soon as I can straighten out my situation here. I couldn't finish the first page her without getting choked up. Seems we did some business before, but I c...

Re: Another stolen bike.

I used to use a logging chain in plastic sleeve, with a Master lock. Through both wheels, the frame, and a stationary object. Nevfer had an issue with that setup. Every time I left it unlocked, it vanished! That was in the eighties, and a regular ten speed. Today, with an Echopper build in the works...

Loved the Xmas vid, and the other night ride as well. Thanks for all the info on what a hubbie can take too. Still waiting for news on those aluminum boxes. Have some green now if available. Sorry to read about the roundabout spill, hope you are healing well. Best wishes all.

Re: Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Hello Jay, sorry it's been so long, summer stuff got in the way. Took me three days to catch up on the reading! Glad you didn't get hurt by the door or stuffing it. Sorry the bikes are being cranky, but I have faith in your ability to sort things out. 28 Days sounded good! I hope to be riding mine b...

OH YEAH!!! Wire porn, suitable for heavy usage, and ambidextras as a Russian Gymnast! Right from the workbench of the builder in Cali, bubble wrapped [twice,] and here within the same week. Now all I need is the power leads for the big 18 fet, and I'm ready for batteries. http://i196.photobucket.com...

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

I finally heard back from Ice, he said he will build my cables for me. Thanks to Ohzee Cat and everyone else who tried to help me out, you are all awesome folks indeed. As an aside, I made a mistake. When I took the pic of the 88v controller harness, I shot the black programming connector instead of...

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

Three different controllers, so it would either be three harnesses, or one, with two adapters, sorry for the confusion. I'm not picky about the color of the andersons, as long as I can determine the wire color for phase setup. Thank you very much for your reply. I am currently awaiting a reply from ...

Re: Schwinn chopper ebike buildup questions

And here it is! not so big as I thought it might be. I musta read the measurements on the site wrong, cause I thought it would fill the hole, NOT! It looks positively lost in the frame, doesn't it? Looks like it might hold a six pack of 6s bricks, mabye even eight. That would get me to the store and...
