Re: B52 LiFePO4 pack

AW, cheers.
Yes understand your points,
Interesting about Ping packs...
Is he still about ?

If I get the Steslth pack here and open again, I’ll photo the BMS and read label on cells

Re: B52 LiFePO4 pack

Yes of course if a pack has a non-adjustable BMS whose "start-balance voltage" **requires** going higher than 3.45Vpc then you have to choose between letting a crappy BMS dictate your charging profile at the price of reducing pack longevity, or replace the BMS, or use something else to do your bala...

Re: B52 LiFePO4 pack

Ok thanks Will see what the owner decides to do I will e-mail him the link to this thread so he can read up on it all and decide. He may just ask Stealth to send new battery and charger or we may build new pack ourselves....Angus.... over to you and Oz to decide... new pack needed .... what you want...

Re: B52 LiFePO4 pack

So , yea, thanks AmberW to Sum up..by bad..posting when tired. and being lazy..I already admitted that  Yes LiFePO4 pouch cells, 24 series and 3.65 volt per cell gives the 87.6 as on the charger. So all good. As long as the pack does not pop. He know he has to buy new pack and charger...

Re: B52 LiFePO4 pack

So I pull the pack and strip..start checking cell voltages....yes all way too low..0.99 1.4 etc etc. Well, those cells are toast. I wouldn't recharge them, but since you've already done that, I wouldn't allow them near a building or anything else, especially if they actually are RC LiPo types. But ...

Atmega16 firmware dumping. Win EXE editing etc

Ok, so not an e-bike question, but this is the only forum I know of, and have history on, and that I know there are people here with potential knowledge to answer. I will make this a long post, by giving the back story first, rather than dive in with my question. This is actually related to a Harley...

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

I've been looking through RS. Some little ones there , 440-430-420-410-400 type input tappings with labelled 230 out. as opposed to the one I bought from ETE, single in single out 415 in 240 out. With the RS one gives the chance to connect to higher input windings so lowering the output voltage. Rat...

If my mate that painted it had been happy with the original built in light system on the lathe, I'd not be doing this We bought it together 3 years ago. Since the 240V socket is ring next to the 415V 3 phase socket I think I would have just cable tied a 240V flex to the 3 phase machine lead and plugged both into the wall
That is how it is at the moment, but was just trying to get it all running off one.

Ah yes, nice idea
Thanks
Will try that when I get home
Should of thought of that myself, as an extension to my own thoughts. I was thinking I need to load it with a bulb or make sure to power in other stuff first

Got plenty power resistors kicking about

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

Already have enough 240 volt outlets on the wall, That is how we currently do it. Just wanted to get it all running off of one single feed. Alternatively I could run a new 5 wire three phase supply, to bring a neutral to the machine as well to give direct 240. But was trying to do it with as little ...

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

OK, so I ordered one of these.. https://www.ete.co.uk/product/transformer-415v-to-240v-25va-single-voltage/ and it arrived. Tested it out, but because it is a transformer and its no load voltage being higher until load is drawn ..it is useless for me....bugger. Its no load output is 267 volts. Stick...

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

Have ordered a 100VA 380-240 transformer

Would have liked bigger, but want to fit in existing box if I can

Encoder is 18 VA
Looking up LED lighting strips and swan neck units now

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

What do you get if you measure between 2 phases of the 3 phase supply? Between phases will be single phase. 400 volts. Was To get standard 240 volts I need the neutral line too. Think in USA your single phase might be across two phases of your 3 phase, but over here we need the neutral to get down ...

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

I just checked the DRO manufacturers website. All their models accept 15-24VDC ±10% The newer ones maybe, but I just popped into the workshop, and it only had the standard ‘IEC’ type 240v ac input kettle style plug, there is no other input jack socket Just says 110/240v 18VA So I have ordered a 100...

Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

It is 240 vac input

Have been looking at other transformers

https://www.ete.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/WV.pdf

Think if I got a 380 In 240 out, I could then run any lights with a 12v Switched mode type supply, and run the Digital display too

Sorry, absolute Max would be 3 amp, simply because it has a 3 amp fuse in its standard UK 3 pin plug. As you say, probably much much less.
