Re: Winterized

Upstate NY, south of Buffalo ... yeah, we get Snow and Ice, but worst, they use salt, which when down near 0 ºF turns everything into a brownish slurry that piles in front of your tires but slides easily against the warmer road surface. Yes, I run a dedicated Winter bike The ☃ Snow Beast ☃ ! Chewed ...

Re: new eZip motor

Yeah, I have to laugh at LC. I have tried and tried and tried to help him. You have to tell him about 3 times before he even thinks about listening! Well not quite, you tell him, then you explain to him, then you plead with him, but he still tries his warned against method, fails and suffers ... the...

Re: new eZip motor

Sunder ... you seem to forget who you are dealing with? LC needs something simple and basic, a complete sealed battery-BMS package, with 1 gender specific (no way to connect wrong) power outlet and 1 different connection charging port. Along with properly ported charger and controller. Seem LC spend...

Re: new eZip motor

My example is for comparison purposes! 36V 16Ah battery: 500 x 20 mile cycles = 1000 miles 36V 8Ah battery: 250 x 8 mile cycles = 200 miles x2 = 400 miles Demonstrating how battery size affects performance and longevity! Provided a link to one of the fuller explanations I offered = EG (exempli grati...

Re: new eZip motor

Pretty sure I've always recommended larger Lithium batteries ... multiple times! - EG Heavy discharges are damaging to range and lifespan. Cruising near 20mph life expectancy: 36V 16Ah battery: 500 x 20 mile cycles = 1000 miles 36V 8Ah battery: 250 x 8 mile cycles = 200 miles x2 = 400 miles Lithium ...

Re: new eZip motor

Solar power for heat is problematic at best! You would get more heat letting Sun shine in through window than putting solar panel there. Of course you want the extra heat during the night ... when there is no Sunlight = no solar power. Might cost you $1500 ( 10 x 100w 2 x 4' solar panels) to create ...

Re: Raised Bed Gardening - Cement Blocks > Greenhouse!

We're having a dry spell been nearly 2 weeks without any rain, till yesterday, cube getting low. Looks like my greenhouse estimate of 1" rainfall = 500 gallons was fairly accurate, close as I could determine in our cheapo rain gauge, we got 1/10th inch which did accumulate 50 gallons in "cube". Of c...
