Re: Can Flux Weakening mess with the hall sensors?

I had this once on a controller with no regen/or flux weakening. It only happened around 40mph on pebbled beaches if i left the ground. As i was landing the wire on the back of the ignition switch had become unsoldered and was cutting out but worked ok when tested at a standstill. It seemed to mess ...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Just on 28mm wide bmx rims atm. They seemed pretty snug to fit and the bead looks seated. Em3ev did list a 57mm wide 20 inch rim but hadnt planned on going heavy duty. The extra torque on the smaller wheel at 25a really causes problems compared to my 26inch old mac setup at 40a.

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Never go full motard lol. Just fitted some 16-2.75 k32 Heidenau after getting a 1.5/2kw mac motor and suffering twisting/juddering and punctures. Just couldnt find 20inch bike tyres up to the job. They felt around 1500 grams and was surprised how light a 130kph rated tyre was. Ive only got 3mm clear...

Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

So can i get a 20 percent refund ha ha. I was just saying on a problem thread on fb that we got an "infineon" 60a and got minimal support/documentation included . It looked scratched up out the box. No data cables no wiring labels. Inconsistent acceleration. Killed my new 74v pack while off due to p...

Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

I assumed it would be simulated sine but its absolutely silent eerily so. I havnt properly tested it but im getting less heat, more range and twice the thrust of my buzzy em3ev 60a one. I can literally fly across pebbles at almost 40mph with no bogging down. It wheelies at anything other than top sp...

Are the rims steel or alloy? I somehow keep mashing my alloy 19 inch moto rims. Might hand my 50p shaped wheel down to my brother. Thanks

Re: MXUS 3K Turbo (V3) 45mm Direct Drive Hub Motor

My motor acts very differently from one set of halls to the next and wonder if my 18fet infineon/cellman controller is switching to sensor less. Its much more grunty and gritty sounding on one set and soft and lower powered on the other. When i first ran it i left one set of halls bare and bundled t...

Re: 400mile range Emotorcyle at 70mph 21kwh battery?

At some point a guy pointed out a very easy way to debunk the range claim in a kind of layman's way. He said his leaf does 90 miles with the same battery and assumed a bike would use less power. I pointed out a leaf is probably more aerodynamic than an upright motorbike. Then all the comments got de...

Re: Toyota Chy hybrid 0-100 boost via bmode

Its all clever stuff that I will have to learn once my chr arrives. Im just interested why the bmode seemed to reduce the 0-100 by almost two seconds under official specs. I cant even try it till my engine is run in either waahhh lol I read someone was confident it went from 40amps in dmode and 30am...

Toyota Chr hybrid 0-100 boost via bmode?

Ok so it sounds backwards but theres a suggestion using bmode takes the chr's awful 11.7 seconds and turns it into 10 seconds. Any idea how or why? A theory/guess. *Ive just read up on the prius and bmode actually produces less regen. Instead using the engine as a pump to waste energy on long decent...

Re: Infeon controller too much torque

if it was me id be looking to ask em3ev if they do a side cover to convert it to a rear wheel. The torque of a 500w 24v conhis motor direct drive was even enough to slip on my first build. Rwd feels 5 times better to me.

Re: 400mile range Emotorcyle at 70mph 21kwh battery?

It seems to just say 400miles maximum range now and skips saying at 70mph (unless I missed it). With tires pumped up rock hard, and holding low city riding average pace around something like 15-20mph, my Zero DSR has been tested capable of over 265miles on a charge. Not saying these guys aren't ful...

The pic that's posted in the OP of this thread is a very pretty CGI, though. ;)

Re: 400mile range Emotorcyle at 70mph 21kwh battery?

His range claims are totally ridiculous for 21 kWh at 70 mph. He says it is 21 kWh...that is the capacity. "holds four times the capacity" It would have to have that magic battery to fit 21 kWh into a 350 pound bike. Such a battery would revolutionize the auto industry overnight. Why would he be fo...

Re: New non exploding batteries soon

Perhaps get solar, a battery and inverter if your grid is that damaging to things. Really though quality electronics shouldn't care much at all about the quality of the power feeding it, even massive amounts of noise and large spikes are easy enough to design a PFC front end that takes about anythi...

Re: 400mile range Emotorcyle at 70mph 21kwh battery?

Yeah some epic BS figures there. The longest range e moto today would be Mugen's Shinden Go, with about 21 kWh onboard and lots of carbon fiber. It weighs 250 kg. It can maintain an average speed of 175 km/h up and arounf the IoM on one charge. If this bike is even half as good, we can expect to se...
