Re: Front suspension forks question

That's why the add the lawyer lips to the dropout Sorry, translation please? There's a lip on the outer side of the fork ends that capture the quick release, even when unlatched. They call them Lawyer lips, because they were added to protect the companies from being sued by riders who don't know to...

Front suspension forks question

I need a front suspension forks for one of my bikes. I saw a post selling one which I would like to buy. But from its photos, I found that there is a place that it is different from the front suspension forks of my other bikes. The difference is the angle of the drop out. Mine are parallel to the ve...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

Depends on how that BMS is calculating %SoC. All of the various methodologies are guesstimates at best. Accuracy can only be (approximately) benchmarked against constant-current load testing. Thanks for your reply. I think the capacity increase after charging has stopped is not the real situation. ...

And I got the following readings from the app. Voltage of the pack: 51.7V Capacity of the pack: 7.006AH (52%) Highest volt...

Re: Direct-Drive conversion of the new GNG/cycmotor X1-pro 3000w

So, the main reason it won't fit. I don't wish to discuss, but throttle has not much to do with efficiency of the system, this is just a speed lever for your ride. I think everyone agree. We need highest torque point with lowest phase amps ratio. As it will be fixed gear, efficiency must be taken i...

Please help on connecting 2 groups in series

I am building a 14s4p battery pack. I am going to use the hailong battery case. I also will install a bms. But due to the limited space problem, the 7th and 8th groups will be as shown on Fig. 1. The cell which I am going to use is capable of delivering 10A each. Fig 1.jpg For the series connections...

Re: Can Sunkko spot welder be used to weld pure nickel strip onto another pure nickel strip?

Works with 709A. Mine required all pulses and the knob at 6-7. Don't forget that you get higher power right at the machine. So if the hand-held tool doesn't have enough ''chooch'', just weld with the tips at the front of the machine. Thanks for your reply and suggestion. Please advise the thickness...

Re: Can Sunkko spot welder be used to weld pure nickel strip onto another pure nickel strip?

Have you tried to increase welding time? I set the current at 80 and pulse at 12. I guess welding time is the pulse. Sorry i thought you have some potentiometer for welding time. I have home made spot welder with chinese controller and i can weld nickel to nickel without issues. I need more amps of...

Can Sunkko spot welder be used to weld pure nickel strip onto another pure nickel strip?

I bought the Sunkko 737G+ spot welder (which should be quite powerful when compared with the other Sunkko models) recently for building my first diy battery pack. So far from my testing, at about 75% power setting, welding with 0.2mm pure nickel strips onto cells is no problem. But for the series co...

Will the battery pack okay if the cells are not glued together?

I saw a l...

One more post on this BMS... Small components, board top: The large IC in the orange box is the charge controller. I don't know what part it is. The red box looks like 2 DC-DC converters. Probably one supplies 5 volts and the other 12 volts. Under the grey thermal gap filler in the green box is a b...
