Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
please try flashing the attached file.TSDZ2_wireless_ota_update.zip I've just flashed it... same issue :/ Do you have another phone or tablet you can try? I am wondering if there is a blue tooth issue with your phone. I followed the procedure in the video on three different phones: samsung s20+, mo...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
@casainho, Some time ago, you requested that I removed the flashing leds in the bootloader for dfu mode. Given the issues that a number of users have raised, maybe we need to re-instate the leds display during dfu to provide some visual assistance to the user. If we put it on the bootloader, then t...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
I would ask for waiting to the next stable release and then we can help to test again, as there are many changes on the LEDs and will be easy if we are all using the same firmware. If the TSDZ2 wireless board has the correct firmware flashed and is correctly powered up, then it must work always sho...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
Sorry, I misled you on the leds. We recently did a major led signalling update on the firmware which is planned for the next release. I forgot that this is not part of 0.6 2. If you see an led light up when you press reset it would seem you have power connected. No leds will light when you connect ...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
Since power is not an issue for the wireless controller board, maybe a 'breathing' blue led flash should be constantly on until a connection is made to the android app? This would certainly indicate that the board is active, and help to indicate connection. @beemac: what do you think? Since the TSD...

I've wired it to the motor, but i cannot find the controller neither in the bluetooth tab of my smartphone or in the ebike app. @rananna, maybe we should blink "breathing" the red LED when power up the board, that ways users will understand ...

Could you please clarify what you mean by problems with "support configurations" causing poor printing? I printed with the same orientation as seen on the picture and so there was support added automatically - I use Cura software and I did change the support configuration, maybe that was ...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
What type of plastic did you use for printing? Cheap PLA of black color. I have the lower part ready and next I will focus on the top part, mainly to include the new area with the hole for the RGB LED. Not so good print quality this time, thanks to the support configurations I did change: https://i...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
Interesting information on the mosfet circuit thanks for your thoughts - Do you think the leakage voltage is going to cause a problem? The basic circuit works and switches the motor on/off ok. I think there will only be appetite to make any changes if we're solving a problem that definitely needs t...

You are lucky as that design is for left side. I use the main gears / rear gears on the right side and the remote on the left side.

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
How do you make the electrical connection to the button battery? I can see that it is very thin. In addition to brakes wire access, will there be enough room to tuck all the wires under the buttons once you solder the board? Can there be a removable access port on the bottom to allow for easier rep...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource
I am being learning FreeCAD to be able to design the remote - I am using as reference the design done by stancecoke . The idea of this design is to place the LED visible on top of the remote, so the NRF52 board is out on the top. I think there are 2 main issues with this design: 1. there is no space...

Re: BT Interface for TSDZ2 Open Source firmware - Work in progress
Haven't made a test ride til now, but here are my calibration values (36V motor driven by 11s battery): These are almost identical values to those of my motor. Let's see if any more data arrives. I remember to find the hall sensors reference and datasheet - anyone knows what is the datasheet for ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
A while back I 3d printed a plastic main gear (helical) for the same reasons as you have mentioned in this thread, plus also trying to save weight. The design was created in Fusion 360. Step file attached, I can’t vouch for it’s accuracy as I’m no engineer. TSDZ2-Main-Gear.png The print was for tes...

Re: "modern" display for cycle analyst
A year later...is there any interest in such an open-source project, to create a more modern (graphical) display "interpreter" for the Cycle Analyst? It would presumably take the serial output from the CA (like the analogger uses) and then display this on it's own screen, using one of the...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"
The later helical gears are much much quieter once they have worn in for a couple of hundred clicks and been regreased. Is the effort worth more than simply buying a later motor ? I have helical gears in all my EBike TSDZ2 motors and they clearly do an annoying audible noise that other good EBike m...

Re: Optimized TSDZ2 Firmware
Later I moved to a crude pll - estimating the error each time I detect a hall state change and subtracting this error (with a correction factor of about 0.2) from my pll increment. The result is no abrupt changes in angle, and a hugely reduced sensitivity to errors in hall sensor placement. Combine...
