When I drive with torque sensor calibrated on factor level 1.0 assist is no good.
So you don't know how to change the assist factor levels or you are simple being lazy to do it?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I calibrated my torque sensor with fw 0.6.2. However I sometime encountered issues while testing with the new calibration enabled (superman watt, and motor behaviour not ok). I think you want to refer to sometimes, the measurement of the human power is very high, like instead of measuring in the ra...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Casainho, if the general approach is considered valid, what about considering in the algorithm only the three parameters A (e.g. 181), B (e.g. 136), and C (0.057) to determine the continuous curve? I guess more memory can be saved in the display and maybe a quicker response from the system can be o...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

So, I think you need to focus on the values around the knee of the graph, maybe trying to measure 5 values near around, because that zone will have a big impact on the values calculated. Also I think is important for you try to imagine a soft round curve passing on/near all the points and so you ca...

Ah, that's a shame. The title of the thread fooled me... Updated the title in the hope to avoid this issue. This display is original for Bafangs but we are using for TSDZ2, still, our OpenSource firmware can be easily adapted to work for others motors if there are interested developers to do...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Or before i downgrade, is it possible to mitigate an uncalibrated torque sensor in the most current firmware? edit: just realized calibrating the torque sensor is done in the firmware (not by taking apart the motor). Will try that next... If you keep torque sensor calibration disabled, then it is t...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi - I just upgraded to the latest 850c and motor firmware (came from lcd3). While i briefly had 0.20beta i noticed it had a very gentle throttle initiation whereas 0.52 goes *clank* in the drivetrain/gear/slack when i press the throttle. I don't have a throttles on my ebikes so I can't develop. Bu...

Hello! I've been working on a project where I need to attach 2 hub motors to a tricycle, and come up with a control scheme involving torque control. Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Indeed the latest firmware is the v0.53 with many interesting stuff, I think the main stopper to update to it and try is that many of us already wired the LCD3 and after all it is a good display that includes all the necessary data. In my opinion many users would prefer to keep that one instead of ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Casainho, I agree that you can get a rogue torque sensor, but I think Jeff may well just need to set up the power output to his requirements which even with a rogue sensor he should be able to do, just the linear ramp of the sensor may not be the best. I think the problem may be his torque sensor l...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Now there's also a whole lot of nice features in the V20 which is way better than the V19, it would be pretty cool if you could incorporate the latest V20 with your software torque sensing as now that would be pretty cool. I don't understand. The latest version is not V19 anymore, is version V53 an...

If I pull less than this my system doesn’t have enough power for me and if I pull more than this the system wants to run. And I need to stop the rotation, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to stop rotation but if I don’t stop the rotation it will continue to go forward. Jeff its very easy on the LCD3...

That is a known issue. On latest version of firmware (for 850C only currently), that issue should be solved, on that rare case the system would restart. Could say a bit more on what exactly is going wrong when this error occurs? Maybe there is a discussion on that issue which I did not find? I thin...

Gradually users have dedicated themselves to studying it and are improving it. It seems that soon we will hav...
