Re: Bafang BBSHD BBS02 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

General progress update I hit some issues when I started testing with motor mounted on bike. Sometimes throttle ADC reading goes crazy for a whole second and I have not figured out the cause or what to do about it yet... Only happens with actual load, not when motor is freewheeling on desktop. Both...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

Well I think I answered my question (partly). I just put the contents of the firmware folder at the "root" level - i.e. my ebike directory and was able to clean and compile. I would prefer to be able to clone and point at the firmware folder though. However I got one compile error: > Exec...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

Just a totally different thought, but do you realise that you now have the basis for an SRAM etap style electronic gear changing system? As I see it, all that is needed is some way of pulling and releasing the gear derailleur by means of a stepper motor attached to the cable. I have seen such a sys...

Yes it't good law. But it takes a long time before it works in practice. And I think Chinese don't care about it. Europe can obviously affect that to not buy products from China. Part of the law says we will have a signal when buying the product, like the previous law that added obligation for ener...

Re: TSDZ2 48v 2020 new firmware

I'm not comparing the wrong one... The little MESC board in that pic can push many kW.... so I am comparing it to the 1.5kW KT case. If I made a 250W board, it would be <half the size again. Your board would need to have advantages over the others other way why bothering?, so, putting a more powerf...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I don't have to skills to repair but if I find wiring diagram I can go to local electronic shop and ask if they want to fix it. I think the display can be water proof again when it is put back together with glue. Both SW102 and 860C displays were made to not be repaired as they have no screws at al...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Is there any wiring diagram for the 860C display. This suddenly ceased operations. Maybe there was a short circuit in TSDZ2. 860C_Board.JPG 860C_Board1.JPG My 860C also stopped to work suddenly, while the bicycle was on the garage. And it is expensive and I do not know how to repair it, also there ...

Of all the things you could possibly want to keep hold of, the enormous ugly metal box is surprising. I will watch this with interest regardless, and if the results seem particularly good... I guess I shall have to make a fork ;) To be honest, the DIY EBike community kind of needs a good alternativ...

Finally I put all the translucent silicone on my wireless remote, it is fully water prof - I tested the battery after 24 and 48h, there is no noticeable discharge and I used the remote 1h each day. I am now very happy :-)

Re: TSDZ2 48v 2020 new firmware

I'm expecting a couple of the new controllers tomorrow - so time permitting will start to take a look at the non motor control side of things - I'm still learning about motor control so i'm probably better suited to bootloader work and general porting of existing code - but always happy to learn if...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Very good news!! @stancecoke and @abrainer did manage to develop the firmware to make TSDZ2 motor running with FOC, one the TSDZ2 motor controller V2: 9HIKruFkAw0 I expect this advantages from using TSDZ2 motor controller V2 versus V1, using our OpenSource firmware: 1. better FOC (the hardware only ...

Re: TSDZ2 48v 2020 new firmware

This is fantastic news. You're well on your way to having probably the best FOC controller going. With this in mind, do you have any interest in me forking the MESC and replacing the stm32 with this mcu? It wouldn't take me much effort (few evenings to do the hardware) and then you could have this ...

Re: TSDZ2 48v 2020 new firmware

Good news! :-) @abrainer managed to get the motor running in sensorless FOC mode, the error was just the wrong polarity for the half-bridge drivers.... I've updated the masterbranch with his settings already. The motor runs just with a hardcoded setpoint at the moment. There is no throttle input su...

Re: Bafang BBSHD BBS02 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Been looking through your git on this. Would this support the Eggrider display now or in the future including the ability to program on the fly? We developed our OpenSource firmware from scratch to the SW102 / Eggrider display, would be fast to make a firmware version to support this firmware for B...

I think @abrainer is testing to run the motor, I hope he can test using this data. We tried a lot over the weekend, but the transition from open loop to FOC mode always fails. :( Without understanding, how the code works and targeted monitoring of relevant variables at runtime we won't get anywhere...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

First I solved the issue where the screws would not tight the key pad original part, but that was kind of easy - I added the screws to the assembly and then compared the width of original part to the printed one, then adjusted the different and now they wor...
