Re: EBiCS Firmware on a M365 STM32 Controller

I am interested on this as I now own a M365 and I am very happy with this alternative to a bicycle or a motorcycle.

I will look at the firmware on the https://github.com/Koxx3/SmartESC_STM32_v3 and try to learn and test on my hardware. Great what was achieved already using the OpenSource!!

Xiaomi M365 scooter OpenSource firmware

I started to put some notes online to help on possible development of a OpenSource firmware for Xiaomi M365 scooter. This scooter is very popular, cheap and we can easily repair and mod it, since we final users can buy at cheap prices on Aliexpress, every part at unit. I will not be able to do it al...

Would it not be even simpler just to use my android phone with the app as remote and skip the remote. I'm thinking I can more or less set and forget it. Trying to make the simplest build possible (and keep my handlebars clean)
Yes, you do not need the remote at all, using the mobile app is enough.

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

I simply love this project. My current LCD5 has just broken down due to water ingress and I'm looking for a new solution. The wireless controller paired with the android app would be optimal for me. But I'm afraid it would be too big of a project to handle with my limited skills. Are there any plac...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Casainho Thank you for developing the open source firmware for the tsdz2. It rocks! Recently I wanted to change out my rim brakes to hydraulic brakes with the Magura mt5e, which has a built in connector for brake sensors. What I didn’t realise is that there are two versions. A normally closed an...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

It works also without the phone. You know factory default firmware has basic settings which becomes active if there's no display connected. So, this happens to when it loses communication falls just back to state when there's no display. I've actually changed some of these default values too. eg. m...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I've put my HC-05 bt module into the 8 pin connector. The good with this terminal is that it has +5v as well so can give power to the module directly. vYf6pw17Wno Interesting idea to use that 5V line and avoid to use a DC-DC converter, but yes, a limitation to 8 pins version only. I did not yet und...

Let's make one universal driver Why the 3685th project for a universal controller?! There are already many working mature projects, based on VESC, based on other cheap china hardware (Kunteng + Lishui) or completely own hard- and firmware, like the projects of lebowski, mxlemming, tecnologic, barma...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

There is no security implemented. Thanks for the very quick reply. Is there a plan to implement something? Like a pin perhaps that defaults to 0000 but can be changed by the user? Not sure if something like this is possible with the tech or not. Does the Specialized system employ any security? I re...

Re: TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

Hi, not sure if this has already been answered, but I didn't find it. Can anyone with the app connect with the wireless receiver of any bike or is there some sort of security in place? I'm worried about the small chance that a user who recognizes the setup might activate or mess with my bike while ...

Thank you for your reply. Built VESC can be bought on AliExpress low price, don't need to build. Personally, I can design a PCB and make it. Hi, Thanks for the software open source! Is amazing. Me and my wife are fascinated by this solution. I ran into the problem of the new tsdz2 driver with in new bike. Maybe this solution: Instead of adapting the software to new drivers make it universal 1. Using the VESC 50 A driver (it's very small...

I would say you have TX and RX wires not well connected, and if they are, you can have your display not working on that wires and it is not possible to repair.
