Re: A2B Metro Help Needed, Lyen + Tesla Special

A2B help needed! I had my frame battery pack rebuilt using Tesla cells but the builder failed to return the original screws/nuts and Plastic Stanchions that position and hold the bms within the casing. It doesn’t appear as if I’ll ever have them returned so I’m in need of (at least) the plastic stan...

Re: A2B Metro restoration / modification - Fechter's first E

I installed these (different tread pattern) https://www.amazon.com/Tire-2-75-Motorcycle-Performance-Street/dp/B00QUBZY7M after burning through 4 sets of Kendas the new tires are quite heavy and I could feel the extra load when accelerating, could feel the change in front suspension over bumps, they ...

Re: A2B Metro - www.ultramotor.com - Video Page4

I have an A2B metro with 12 fet set up for 30~84V. Have been running a 36V pack on the rear rack since the frame battery went south. I recently had the frame pack rebuilt with Tesla cells but haven't had time to reinstall and set it up. I plan on switching between 36V and 72V depending on my riding ...

Re: A2B Metro restoration / modification - Fechter's first E

My .02 : I was getting slow leaks when I first got my metro. I ride animal trails, dirt paths and roadways (to get to the off the beaten path stuff). I checked the inner tube and found multiple pin pricks, actually cactus spikes in the tire was puncturing the inner tubes. I added slime (hate the stu...

When I read your story I was struck by how many similarities there are and how the responders have advised you. My plight is here: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=53978 It is just shy of two months now and what I have observed is that my 36V sun_Power battery generally has a ch...

it was a slow process but several days ago the battery took a higher charge. I'm done measuring unless an issue arises.

Re: Problem with 36V 15Ah LifePo4 pack not charging complete

It quit raining so I went for a ride to check out my ‘bricks’ capacity today. Previously the battery would measure @ 39.4 hooc and I could ride @ 4.25 miles (not wot but with pedal assist and part throttle) before I would hit LVC and the battery would measure @ 25.4V. Today, after the battery was co...

12 fet lyens controller. 40 amps one? If so, that's an excellent way to drive a 15 ah 2c lifepo4 pack into a severe unbalance. yes the 40 AMP one, I have the 3 speed switch. 2 Queations: Are you metering the charger with it plugged into the battery pack, or are you metering the charger when it has no load aka not plugged in to the battery? Re: Problem with 36V 15Ah LifePo4 pack not charging complete

don't cut the battery pack open, just cut the plastic sleeve that is on the BMS lengthwise on the backside from one end to the other in the middle so you can fold it back over the BMS later. that BMS is the same as the hi current signalab without the leds. you measure the first cell voltage between...

fletch, I posted this yesterday re: chainring http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16742&start=300 as to the center stand, it will not remain tight unless you shim the bolt to allow for greater torque on the nut. This is my experience and that of others. my stock controller 'died'......

I picked up a shard of glass with some well worn Kenda and the bike was ‘dead’ in it’s tracks. I was @ 5 miles from home (with a bad hip)…luckily my neighbor was driving by in his truck, I’m not too sure I could have pushed it all the way back otherwise. Quickly ordered up two new tires + stock tube...

Re: Resurrecting an Ultra Motor A2B Metro with 72 volt power

Thanks to edamane I have a blueprint for my A2B. The cool part is that since there are but 50 miles between us we will be able to compare our ebikes. I ordered a Lyen edition 12 fet controller and decided to retain the hall sensors. I dug out the hotglue and epoxied everything that had been held wit...
