Re: A123 AMP20M1HD-A Battery pack kit

when charging through the balance connectors with the bc168 charger i miss charging 2 of the cells in my 16s pack.. it is the cells that lie between the balance connectors with the + terminal on one connector and a - terminal on the other connector.. i was wondering if it was possible to fix this.. ...

Re: 20kw continuous motor enough for small 2000lb 40-45mph c

i doubt the the golden motor one would have enough torque to accelerate your car to the speed you require in a respectable amount of time.. youll take off from one set of traffic lights and only get to your 40mph by the next set, while every driver behind you is tearing their hair out screaming obsc...

Re: Giant DH Comp Drop Out adapters and conversion

cheers for the hints Wayne, i think my chain is one of them 1 use pin chains and i didn't have a new pin for it so i dismantled the rear derailleur which helped a bit but i still ended up having to get the Dremel out and grinding down the offending part a bit, but its all together and going now yay....

Re: Giant DH Comp Drop Out adapters and conversion

Ive started to attach the dropouts to the frame, they look excellent but i am in need of some advice.. the rear derailleur is giving me some grief trying to get it on, its got the adjusting screw with a tab on one side but then the derailleur doesn't quite clear the part of the dropouts that hold in...

Re: making a petition to change the law on electric bikes?

the bikes would have to have ADR approved tires brakes and lighting which would add to the 'pulled out of a hat' 40kg weight of yours.. plus undergo some sort of safety crash test.. all could be done but its an expensive process for a company that may only sell a dozen bikes.. they might as well mak...

Re: Doc's Liquid cooled 5403 project

i like the new approach alot less weight and direct contact patch with the fluid and the stator center.. what about just pumping air through this new approach it will have great cooling benefits and no liquids or radiator needed so would be much lighter, you could add copper heatsinks between the sp...

Re: Group Buy? Dr.Bass Steveo found 7s3p Module! Awesome Pri

One very positive aspect about these 7s3p modules is it appears these are made in three separate 7s strings, so it looks to be very simple to separate these into 7s1p modules by just cutting the parallel connections or wiring connecting the three 7s strings together as 7s3p. it looks the opposite t...

Re: building ebikes for other people?

i agree the cyclone kit isnt the most reliable kit there is but i dont know of any other that would handle hill climbing and good speed on the flats.. 35kms is a long time to be sitting on a bike so it would need a decent speed.. good point in getting him to build it himself, maby i just give him so...

building ebikes for other people?

i ride my ebike to work everyday when its not raining, and a few of the people that i work with are really interested in my bike and are looking at me to build one for them.. one wants to go 35kms each way and the return home is going up some pretty big hills so ive been talking him to go the drive ...

Re: Aussie 200 Watt Limit Thread

i think speed would be the best way to govern our ebikes, 40kmh for on road use, 20kmh for shared paths when other people are around/in front of you.. overtaking is done sensibly when its safe.. it wouldnt matter if the motor is doing all the work or if the cyclist is inputting power and the cops wo...

Re: Can you spot what's missing on my bike?

so your going to upgrade to a motorcycle frame yeah??
i think the brakes, suspension, strength of frame/wheels/tyres, steering control, aerodynamics of the fairings and seating position
all that surely would make up for the extra weight of having a motorcycle frame

Re: Giant DH Comp Drop Out adapters and conversion

i dont have the skills or knowledge to do this but would it be possible to extend the dropouts 1 or 2 inches to make extended swingarms
or would that put too much strain on the three bolts that are holding the dropouts onto the swingarm. thinking of for high power applications so no wheelies

i should be able to get to 3000kms (1875mi) by the end of the month (1 year of ebiking) so at that rate it should take me 6years to make 10,000mi.. hoping for less downtime on the bike and being less of a pussy and ride in shit weather and i should do better.. i figure if i ride 12,000kms i would of...
