Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release
heyDD- It sounds like a button or perhaps condensation problem that is causing phantom button pushes. In particular, holding the left button depressed on boot sends control directly to Setup - you primary symptom. Buttons not working is likely because one or more is stuck ON. Carefully unscrew the b...

What he said ^^^^^^ Here's a simple hookup that just uses a mix of one an two pin connectors. Easy with either Anderson PP or RC bullets. With a little heat shrink sleeving it just looks like a short Y on each side. QuickyNoSparkHookup.png 20-22ga is more than adequate for the precharge wire - the s...

Re: DIY electric hand cargo trailer
But is there a benefit (for example in terms of torque) using a different kind of motor? What do I lose not using a hub motor (for example are rpms fixed in other types of motors?)? I originally proposed using the hubmotor because of the fabrication simplification and the ease of upgrade - just buy...

Re: Sempu BB + cycle analyst assist not working well
The grossy asymmetric Sempu waveform in combination with the high pole count has been found to cause certain CA 3.1+ PAS difficulties. This isn't directly related to the odd pulse timing your post illustrates, but it's another Sempu weirdness. This issue has been addressed and will be released very ...

Box the wheel with an outer strut to carry the other side of the stock motorcycle front axle and things get simpler. Likely needing brakes on the s...

Re: Trek report on becoming more visible (for electric velomobile)
Improved visibility has only do with knees, feet, and pedaling in that they provide points of visual complexity and change for others. Tying lighting to pedal motion misses the underlying cause of the Trek observation and suffers from the rate dependence you point out. If you want to get peoples att...

Re: DIY electric hand cargo trailer
I am trying to build an electric hand trailer capable to move 400-420 kg at a more or less constant speed of 3.2-3.6 km/h both on paved and unpaved road (though not a completely rough bumpy road). My main inspiration comes from the Carla Cargo trailer Chalo has lots of experience with pedicabs and ...

Re: Mac 12T and dual torque arms -> really necessary ?
....with a KT36 20 Amps controller. - Do I really need dual torque arms ? Basically what neppy said above - two would be the best situation... But - regardless of voltage, your 20A controller is probably only going to provide 50 phase amps which is not really driving the Mac hard so you don't have ...

Re: Cycle Analyst V2 - Menu on startup
This could simply be a failed button assembly with the left button stuck ON. Remove the four screws from the back of the case and carefully open it. Unplug the button ribbon cable from the circuit board. Now try powering up the CA to check if it boots properly. If this works, a replacement case part...

Hey teklektik, you better read IMR Batteries' Shipping Policy again, as you don't seem to understand it. Beware of kreemoweet
It's always distressing to see someone become a member of ES because of a sudden burst of 'Public Service' to warn others (aka 'throw a tantrum', 'get even', 'damage business') with a post that will live on for years to come. You requested special delivery handling directly with the carrier. This is...

I have a 52v battery that was charged to 56.5v So - I'm guessing this means a 14 cell battery that you partially charged to about 92%? the CA says that I used 17.5Ah. Sort of meaningless without knowing the actual capacity in Ah. Sorry, but you never actually described the issue. This value is too ...

Re: Power Oscillations / Hunting at higher speeds
Turns out that it wasn't the CA, but instead an incompatibility between the controller (25A Grinfineon) and motor (TDCM_305_IGH).... Re: Power limit max 1kW in high range, 100W in low range?
In the CA v3.1, is there a reason that the Plim setting can only go to 100w in low range (shunt calibration range), and 1kW in high range? There is no such limit. Ok - thanks for the clarifications. Do I need to use a computer with a TTL cable or is doing the factory reset from within the CA3 menu enough? I don't have a TTL cable, but I am in Vancouver and can stop by the Grin Office. I'll do the factory reset on the CA3 menu to start with anyway. Depends. Tr...
