Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

With some spare time, I'v test fitted the new QS onto the Raptor. I must of gotten a version that was made on a Friday. One spoke was over tightened and a few barely took any force to loosen up. So the over tightened spoke just snapped when trying to break it loose. Plus side its that I don't need a...

Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

Received a new QS motor yesterday. 19" moto rim with 5T motor. Wheel is laced for a single speed freewheel, so it's offset. Going to have to move the rim to the center of the motor. That way it seems I can use spacers just on the freewheel side and still put on my old 5 speed freewheel. http://i189....

Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

I found a machinist willing to work on an axle design for me. Is expensive as hell to just make one, so it would be cheaper to machine a bunch and sell them to break even.

I still can't believe how much thinner the frame is.
Yea, a thinner frame is nice to pedal around with. Which is why I still ride around on the EVG bike.

No source yet. I'm not in a rush, as I want a good upgraded axle. In the meantime I might just have to go with an QS motor.

Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

I'm using 180A regen with the Sabbie. That is border line lock up with the sticky Michelin's. The motor is a V2 that I got through Zombies Greyborgusa site and I have less than 2700km on mine.

Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

I'm thinking regen did it over time. I would say the Sabvoton pushed it over it's limit. The 18 fet controller before hand did not regen as hard as the Sabbie. Well I know a machinist here in Houston and I'll go ask him what it will all cost me for 3 units. I'll bring along the pics to give him an i...

Re: 60MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

I think the V1 had some failed axles, but I could be wrong. I'm just glad the axle failed at very low speed while I was giving my kids rides in the back yard. Failure at high speed would of hurt badly. The axle failed where the threads on the axle ends towards the disc brake side. I'm wondering if ...

Re: 50MPH 11kW Qulbix Raptor

I cleaned up the wiring a bit on my bike. Shortened the phase wires and did some serious crimping on those connectors. The thin insulation on the Cromotor phase wires had slits in them. I'm guessing from heat over time. I just sleeved them with some new heat shrink and tidied everything back up. I m...

Snellemin, Nice bike!!! Could you show us a picture of the mount you have for your Magic Shines? Thanks. It's just a camera mount for bikes. I flipped it, so the lights sits up higher for cars to see me coming during the day. Amazon has them for 30 bucks or so. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001WB1GE0/r...

Re: Who's enjoying 10kw and up?

This is my commuter. Has some issues right now with the CA picking up ac signal. Sinwave controller on 18s lipo. Peaked at 56.9mph on CA, 55 something on gps. Fun bike that mostly sees asphalt only. Gets a lot of attention too. Very stable at high speeds. Peaks over 10kw. I don't need any more than ...

Battery is 18s Lipo. Hall throttle. Throttle, 3-position and brakes are hooked up to the CA. Thanks. Just wanted to verify the CA regulators weren't on the edge because of high Vbatt and lots of power used by controls - yours has lots of headroom, so no issues there... :) I haven't messed around wi...

Main CA ground is on the controller side of the shunt. I even disconnected all other grounds and with the same negative results. Good sleuthing - exactly what I was going to recommend next - but disappointing it didn't turn up a smoking gun. I had high hopes for the ground issue... So - here's the ...

Flux weaking is set on 100A, Brake on 180A, middle phase on 200A, rated phase on 250A. Tires are the old michelin pilot sports.

It is a fast controller. Using 18s of not the best lipo, I'm still able to hit 56mph on a cromotor.
