Re: Customized Deep Cycle 60V 25Ah Lithium Ion Battery for E-bike

Sounds dodgy AF. Seller cant provide information on the PCM/BMS inside. I mean you should know everything about your product. No clean pictures. Is it constructed like many other Chinese brands where you can set your house on fire? Weight. 10kg +/- 1kg. Really? Manufacturer does not know the weight...

Re: Nazca Pioneer solar recumbent build

Was going through this thread couple of times and always refrained from commenting but i have to point out that using modules without the lids is not recommended and misses the design purpose. Plastic is pliable and cells make sides bow out. Lid locks the sides to mitigate this effect so cells coul...

Re: N.E.S.E. the no solder module

For anyone who is curious about what these modules could be used for besides an ebike, there are a lot of children's toy electric cars that run off of a pair of lead-acid wheelchair batteries for 24V. A seven-cell in series pack of 18650s of the same volume of the original 2S SLA PACK would run twi...

Re: N.E.S.E. the no solder module

The idea of using 3xxxx cells for a 1P pack is very appealing, but i also don't know of any decent cells in that size. I don't know of a 26650 that is worth using other than A123's cells. Offerings in the 3xxxx size are even more scant. Agnuism, it's cool you are ahead of the game by making these l...

Interesting but no 32650 or 32700 modules ... yet?
Those sizes could be bought with welded threaded studs.
That tends to double the cost of the cells
No harm in asking ... thanks for the reply.
With my kit it probably would tripple :)

Those sizes could be bought with welded threaded studs. They are too big and rare to be feasible.
I have no further plans to make any other sizes, this is it :)

Re: Guides

isenseit does not matter how many cells you connect in parallel. In nese case say you want more than 8 cells, then you connect 2 8 cell modules in parallel(positive to positive, negative to negative). Now your jar bottom tube is the same as series bus bar of the 2 modules

Thanks, it is same as I thought, but seems might be an easier less direct wat to do this. I am still in dark how the BMS cirsuits "balance" a group if the group is larger than, say 8 cells...maybe question is too basic...and I am missing somethintng. but hyou did clarify my original inten...

Re: N.E.S.E. the no solder module

Hi All, I recently bought some hardware for the NESE modules and I am very happy! I received the hardware in just 2 weeks (a totally acceptable timeframe for me) and I live in Canada. The hardware was well packaged. I then printed the modules in PETG on my older 8-bit 3D printer and even using my o...

Seriously awesome work there. I'd love to see a build thread on your custom power tool batteries. For folks that have a few toys and don't rely on them for commuting, I still think having swappable power tool brick batteries is a great option. Not to mention you can rely on your tools to last much ...

I have made Makita rebuildable battery. Uses the top cover with a latch and screws.
Bought a trimmer and was not satisfied with run time. I can build 2 to 8P packs. Here is 3P 9.6AH:
