Re: Vector e bike 6000w for sale
I guess someone needs to ride it home from the central valley. LOL. It is a good deal though for 2K. But there is definitely some improvements to make it turn key. This would need adappto controller and bms and it should be able to do 50 miles plus before charging. It should make for a fun road trip...

Re: CitiGo Urban - WORLD'S BEST DESIGNED E-SCOOTER
No suspension. Around 22lbs.
Not bad. But i think i rather pay for the etow and call it a day. It is a much better scooter with full suspension and it is around $850-$900 here in usa if you can get discount.
No scooter is perfect. The etow has its own issues, but overall it is pretty good.

Re: Stack-able Low Cost Balancing BMS
To the "Quiescent current" part - it is a more thoughtful approach to introduce a configurable disconnect timer, rather than than pinch pennies trying to extend a shelf-life of a battery with a hooked-up BMS, IMHO. What is BMS going to do if it senses a battery voltage going down ? Zilch,...

Re: Stack-able Low Cost Balancing BMS
Let's turn those specs into engineering terms for the fun of it: 13S to 24S BMS would probably need to be divisible by 12 or at least 4. My take is a stackable BMS of 4s or 6s. 10Ah to 20Ah Does not really matter. Though it will drive your design specs below Discharge Currents from 20A - 80A nominal...

Re: Stack-able Low Cost Balancing BMS
I think the problem is cheap.
I have looked and specced out a possible BMS designed that would work, but cost would be high, unless I can get huge quantities.

Artur,
Any specs on the Typhoon V2.0? I am curious about the motor and battery on this beast. Also what is the fastest speed and if it will fit someone smaller in size.

Re: Is there room for a new electric bicycle company in the
It really depends on the market. You wouldnt start an ebike company in the midwest where it gets cold and hot and everything is miles out. You would ideally find the market that needs such device. I.e. congested no parking easy bike parking safe slow traffic area. Then ask yourself why a regular bik...

Re: electric Velomobile max speed record?
Thanks for the links. Really the only reason is not how fastbut how long and far. With maybe a reduction in air drag, you can go for longer and use less battery this is better fit for touring. But yes i wonder ehat the max record is for electric. There is a record for electric car, and it has all th...

Re: electric Velomobile max speed record?
The trisled is a good and cheap start but it is not full suspension. I was considering the quest and using the ecospeed mount mid-drive. But those two combo will set me back more 15K USD no counting the extra stuff like CA controller battery etc. Man making a really efficient transportation can get ...

electric Velomobile max speed record?
I am rethinking a touring trip with a velomobile to gain more aero dynamic advantage. Has anyone electrify a velomobile? What are the things to watch out for? What is the max speed you can obtain? Mid-drive vs hub drive. Pedal assist or just pure electric? Bigger battery or smaller and pedal assist ...

Re: JP spot welder
My question is if the FETs goes out, do you need to replace all the FETs or just the one that goes out. If just one, how do you determine which one it is? I think it would be more economical like someone here pointed out to provide extra FETs or extra discharge boards with or without FETs populated....

Re: New Electric Velomobile In Town - Virtue Pedalist
I am also tempted to put down some mo ey to support them, but even at 3000 it is a bit risky for what i have plan for it. Here is why: 1) heavy. 100+lbs and this is pretty heavy without motor battery etc. 2) aero is not that great. If you plan to ride it in the city and short commute, then fine, oth...

Re: Drag race Tesla, Zero, Energica etc
I have to admit the model s impressive. It was keeping up with thd bike for most of the track until the near end. I guess if tesla can work on upping the 30-60mph acceleration, it might keep up with the bike. But yeah that much power on a bike that can flip if you throttle too much takes guts to rid...

Re: QS 500W-10kW Electric Spoke Hub Motor
Any good 3000KW+ motor in 135mm dropout? Do you mean 3000W? If yes, it's not possible to make 3000W motor in 135mm dropout. As the maximum magnet height is 28mm. The rated power is 500W, peak power could be about 3000W for few second. P.S.: Some supplier might call it 3000W, as the peak power might...

Re: Need a reliable electric bike for daily commute to work!
If you want a reliable bike just go slow. Most of the problems people are having here are related to high power ebikes. Over engineer and keep the power low (and speed low) and you will be riding for a long time without problems. Now you do have to take jnto consideration the usual bike related prob...

I have hobbyking nanotech lipo and it is roughly 50%-60% now. It has been more than 3 years and it still go on chucking. Since it is lipo the internal resistance is still in check. It does sag a bit compared to when it is new but recovers fine and still provide at least 50% easy assuming you fully c...

@ marcibs,
Thanks for the recommendation. Tubeless seems a bit messy. How well do they work compared to inner lining with thick inner tube?
@ecross
Do the gaadi come in 20 inch version? I plan to build my rear in 20 inch version presta.

One more issue that just occurred to me. Flat tires. How would one deal with flat tires. Last time I had a flat on my ebike, I had to flip the bike to reload the wheel back onto the dropout. I don't see me flipping the trike if that occurs. How would you guys deal with flat tires on this thing?

Re: Recumbent Bike/Trike Touring experience?
