...and the number of layers. I've had good success drawing over 125A from 4 layers of nickel x 7 series strips of 0.15 x 7mm nickel. So 28 links total, although the top most layers won't contribute as much so it's not a simple multiplication of current capability, but theoretically 28 layers could t...

Yeah, wouldn't mind an update if possible.

Also, can we get confirmations of order #. I haven't seen any blue frames as I requested for mine...and haven't heard anything back via email either.

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Hello there, Yes the threat is the following if you want to see more info: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=88373 This battery pack has worked very well for more than two years (it's not dead yet but it sags a lot). The reason I want to try 21700 40T cells is the extra power a...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

The frame doesn't have the same height everywhere, there is a high point that reaches about 130-135mm so I will add more cells there also two years ago I've manage to fit 180 18650 cells with two floors design so I think my goal to fit 140 21700 can be accomplished. This is the old battery layout t...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

So after Alex's photo I think I have to split the pack in two smaller packs to be able to fit 140 pcs of 21700 cells and then it will be the dream battery pack for this small frame. How will you arrange the cells? I can't see how more than 6P would fit unless you start stacking some end to end and ...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Thanks guy's. I meant to say 20700 above, but basically the same thing. I get my cells from NKON usually. Allex, that pic makes me think the 20S6P 20700 cells at 118x85x417mm might not fit. :( But it's great to see another option with the trusty old 18650's. :D I'm trying to make it work with 20700'...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Hey guy's, I'm trying to figure out what the max capacity single block 20S battery can fit into a Futr Beta with 21700 cells. So far by my guesstimate, the max is 20S6P which comes out to 118x85x417mm. Anyone know if this is likely to be able to fit (I don't have a Beta on hand to test), or if there...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thats not entirely accurate CD, my last 2 P7 have sinewave controllers. Good to hear...while they can take their time catching up, I'm guessing it's cause they want a reliable product and time to test before release. Theo.. CDs torque blocks work I ordered a pair last year just finally put them on....

The only catch is I'll have to give up the regen because the freewheel body is too wide to allow the torque clamp to fit. I think I can live without regen
Not necessarily...remember the torque arms I made a while back. I think I might still have one left somewhere.
Want me to dig it up?

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Thanks heaps Adam. I see what you mean about the bottom mounted pack now. The top tube mounted pack looks like it could work, but the second pack inside the triangle sounds like the best option if it can fit with the L size packs. Is there a chance of having those mount points investigated further? ...

Re: JP spot welder

20 AWG, I only used 28 AWG for the balance wires. You should never have more than a amp through them. Thinner wire also will act as a better fuse in case of a short with the wires. Nah, you can charge up to 8A through the BC168...granted I would not normally recommend that either. Valid point about...

Thanks for the update Adam. And thanks for the info on the second battery mount. Will wait for those pics. Yeah, plan B...and I will probably do that anyway regardless...I just want the option of 2 packs on the bike.

Coming from a Fighter with a 2.5Kwh pack I want the max possible capacity I can fit on this bike for comparable range.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Just out of curiosity.. Where would this second battery be mounted? If mounted under the downtube, I'm pretty sure the front tire would rub when fork is compressed.. Well that's the idea...and the hope is that it can be done in such a way that the front tire does not rub it. Plenty of things can be...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

That's a neat way of tackling the cell gluing Allex, and one I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the tip...maybe that will save me a heap of time and make this more worthwhile in future. The only catch is no short protection between parallel groups. Maybe a double heatshrink on each cell would fix that,...

Damn CD, thats a huge pack. Range anxiety Be Gone!!!!! Yup, that's what he wanted and asked for, so I crammed the max possible capacity in there with current cells. Until they release an 18650 cell larger than 3500mah (true capacity) and at least 10amp capable you will not see more capacity in an A...

The tip sharpening and booster subpack I added to my JP certainly made this a much easier build than it otherwise would have been. :D 8)

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

You will be very surprised how loud your bike actually was once you try out modern sine-wave controllers. Yup, with ya there Alex. Can't go back to square now, sounds like a steam engine compared to sine. TBH, I'm surprised Stealth hasn't moved to a sinewave controller yet...get with the time...
