Re: Mid-Drive Selections for Quality!!!

Sorry, but this list is bullshit, it is very subjektive which drive is best for you. My oppinion: The BBSHD is not the most Powerfull, but the best product, it ist plug and play, very reliable, stealth and silent! Cyclone is bad quality less reliable and very loud. EGO and AFT are modded cyclones, s...

I think the ampera is dead in Europe since GM sold Opel to Renault/Peugeot and they both have ther own EV- platforms.
There where already rumors that the Ampera won't be delivered...

Re: #crossbreaks' midmotor CB120

Hey Crossbreak,
this looks very promising. I have a Mondraker Summum DH Bike and an 14s7p 25r battery sitting here they are both waiting for a big Motor :-)
I would like to buy a complete kit.

Re: Getting the best chainline with the bbshd

I've been waiting to make this post because I wanted to put some miles on my 30T Mighty-Mini first, and I'm thrilled to report that all the chainline issues that I was worried about are all wiped away. Look at that crazy chainline! I'm running a KMC 10.93 chain to a 10-speed Shimano XT 11-36T casse...

Re: I'd like to build the perfect trail bike...

I have a Banshee Frame with a BBS02. The Banshee frames are perfekt because of two reasons. First they have an absolute straight downtube with an threaded 73mm BB where you can mill down 4mm on the right side. Second, they have screwed on Dropouts. I had my own dropouts lasercut. and spaced the rear...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

An EU- L1e version absolutly makes sence! That way you can get to the trails without getting problems! And insurance is allways good as a theft insurance is only additional 30€/year. That way you can even use the LMX for commuting :-) I will buy an street legal LMX. Gesendet von meinem GT-I9505 mit ...

Re: BBSHD 2016 Norco Bigfoot 6.3 Mighty Mini chain line

I have a 28T úp front and a 46T in the rear on my BBS02, that is really nice and efficient for climbing! You can easily grind out 5mm of the BBSHD GEARCOVER, to improve the Chainline. If that is not enough you can open the gearcover and fill up the spot you Need to grind with 2K epoxy from the insid...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

I love the Dropouts, if you add exchangeable damper mounts, diffrent size rear Wheels would be possible.
Vor example a 26 DH rear tire with a Schwalbe porcore inner Tube. I use procore in my 29rear wheel and it made an paper thin 29x 3.0 xc tire survive a DH weekend without any problems.

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

Hey Adam, the Alloy-Proto is really nice, I love the main frame! Nice design :-) The 4Link rear suspension does make sense for pedaling, for the lmx I am not sure if it does make sense. The only point the fourlink does better is that it does not lock up the rear suspension while breaking. If you wan...

Re: BBS01 Changes

I programmed a BBSHD one month ago and had the same problems. My own BBS02 from may, which is one of the last ones before they changed the design is right there. It starts up in PASS immediately when I start pedaling and there is no lack at all, it cuts off the same time I stop pedaling. The throtte...

This bike is just perfect!

What controller are you using for 14s? I got a lot of 14s batteries and might want a tangent drive one day :-)

Is the IGH an Shimano Alfine 8/11 or a Rohloff?

Re: Project: Home made velomobile design with crank or mid m

The nuvinci is nice but I would not want the loss of efficency cvt has in an efficient Velomobil.
As the chain does not see any dirt, it is going to be good for 20tkm so the Chaindrive is a real option in a Velomobil where it runs completely inside.

Re: "Hybrid" versus performance focussed bikes.

I really like to blast around with my performance Enduro MTB, but there is not much exercise. So when it comes to commuting or sunday biketours with my girl, I love my current-control 30 lbs commuter. The range is 60-120km on a 460Wh battery. The speed is between 30-38km/h depending on how much exer...

Re: VESC parking brake for electric wheelchair

What you are looking for is called dragbreak. Electrik RC Rockcrawlers use that, so that the Car does not roll reverse when u stop. But it does need some energy, if you do park on a step hill. So you might wanna use only a light dragbreak. This way the wheelchair only starts rolling when it is to st...

For the frame hard braking at the front should be a tough job too.

Re: Will bafang bbshd 1000w fit my bike

If the bike has a 100mm BB then get a 100mm BBSHD, there is lots of clearance.
If you use a small Chainring what I recommend anyway, it will be an easy fit.
With a 120mm version you crew your chainline!

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

Thats my Opinion to, the LMX is not for pedaling. If you want padals get a BBSHD fatbike or a BBS02 enduro. Those are real nice bikes for pedaling and trailsriding. If I do trailtours on the BBS bikes with my Girl, where we ride relaxed up the hills, we can go 50-70km distance and 1500meters differe...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

You guys are right that a heavy Bike is more stable. But the key is to have low unsprung weight! A light bike with lighter wheels will be stable too and it is much easier to handel it and push it with your body weight. Also a bike with half the wheel weight accelerates 3-4 times better than one with...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

Very nice work Felix! The carbon main frame should be very light, but I think you get a big weight penalty with the milled rear end. A Carbon swingarm or welded aluminium tubes would be much lighter. In Numbers without the damper, what i think is possible: 4.5kg in Crmo, 4kg in Aluminium Sub 3kg in ...
