Interesting follow on to this, the Dutch team who just rode around the world in 80 days had 28.5kWh on board and they say they get approx 380 km / 236 miles per charge.....

Re: 400mile range Emotorcyle at 70mph 21kwh battery?

I like the design a lot but like everyone else think the range figures are hilarious....but then again every single electric bike manufacturer does the same thing. You regularly see 200W with 9Ah 36V bikes claim range of 80miles+ To be fair on the Vigo https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vigo-electri...

Hookworm 2.50 Source

Hi Guys, I've been buying Maxxis Hookworm 2.5 tyres for my bikes for six years now, however, I've just gone to get some more from my usual sources and everyone is either sold out or has a few left but at double the normal price. Has the 2.5 been discontinued do we know? Does anyone know of a good so...

What batteries are you using? You must have to insulate them well, the cold would affect them otherwise ?

I've built/been involved with building three bikes with this frame from Paul now. Overall I like the frame, everyone seems to like the look of it. Plenty of room inside and easy to modify with charging points etc(I ended up going with speakon) The only issue I have run into is the headset that Paul ...

I bought two of these packs one year ago.

A bit miffed actually because I was about to buy a couple more but now I'm not sure....

Re: MAC hub stuttering during acceleration with 16s lipo

Hi Mike, I've been using Mac motors for a few years now, the 10T first then the 8T. I've also used the 9Fet 30A and the 12fet 40A. If you want more 'power and speed' you need more current and voltage! I run my Mac's on 12S lipo for easy charge and balance. On 12S I get 27mph with the 10T and 30A con...

Re: Interbike 2015, Las Vegas, Sept 14-18

Here's the new "double wide" MAC. Paul said he was very pleased at how well it performed compared to a larger direct-drive hub, with the added benefit of being lighter. It still used a 5:1 reduction gear-set, so the motors' magnet speed was very high (which is good for heat and efficiency). MACwide...
