Re: Ruff Cycles Cafe concept
some photos of one I'm doing now. Swingarms are widened to 160mm. Where can i purchase the thick dropout or torque arm you have on that white frame with the leather bag? I am most likely going to need one for my build as I will be using re-gen. Thanks. Both custom built. Link to bottom bracket adap...

Re: Ruff Cycles Cafe concept
not a drama. it can be done by hand very easy. I've spread them to 180mm without an issue. Lay the frame on it's side on the ground. Stand on the swingarm side on the ground - near to the main frame. Pull the other side of the swingarm at the dropout end till it shifts a little., Flip it over and do...

Re: Electric fishing canoe
wow, amazing reduction in consumption. I'll conduct the experiment if you are kind enough to supply the gear - thanks ol'mate. my biggest enemy is wind... there is a river close by with no current, but it will also need to be dead still. The prop is the standard 2 blade model it came with.... I'll s...

Re: Electric fishing canoe
I sure like the looks of this! Any mods done on the outboard motor (either with the prop or the motor controller) or is it complete stock? I'm also curious if you have a watt meter or amp-hour meter to get an idea of your consumption in Wh/km at different cruising speeds. We have lots of firsthand ...

Electric fishing canoe
Recently completed a project I started many years ago. It was more of a restoration job, given the amount I had used it prior to having finished it all those years ago. Hull is plywood coated in Epoxy and 2-pac painted. 12V motor and LiFe pack - forward steering via the foot pedals, and I have rigge...

Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY
Great, where do you get that heat shrink? Have had it for some time - thought I bought it from Batteryspace.com but just checking their website I don't know if they are still selling it. I do remember that it cost a LOT... and then shipping from the USA doubled the price. Have got some from an Engl...

Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY
Building a few small 36V packs at the moment, using 30Q cells - spotwelding 0.1mm copper with the DN10 welder and custom timing circuit. I used the cardboard insulators for the first time, and would highly recommend in the case of gluing a pack together. 20181130_132205.jpg 20181218_094405.jpg 20181...

Re: Pneumatic spot welder sticks to cells
Tips need to be clean, and you might try to wait a few seconds for the weld to cool before releasing the pressure of the electrodes.
Need to apply sufficient pressure - to avoid sparking and hot welds from arcing. And correct power settings will also help.

Re: Mobipus Controllers
Regen has an over-riding off or on in the top level setting... along with a few other settings including voltage calibration. You don't really need to spend more than an hour with these settings unlocked. Regen variables can be adjusted freely when using the standard password for programming... and ...

Re: Mobipus Controllers
These are epic controllers. Programming and interface with PC is as easy as it could be, given the complexity of the unit. Setup requires a level of experimentation for the noob obviously, and as Sam said, this could be very dangerous for someone 'tinkering' with stuff when not experienced enough. W...

time key was free, and only unlocks the last few settings. A password will get you in to enable the rest of the settings, and tuning to be done.

Re: Mobipus Controllers
a one hour ticket from the factory ? To unlock the top level of settings (which includes the last option for regen to work) a time activated key needs to be submitted, which gives you one hour in this unlocked mode. I needed to use a VPN to make it think I was in Hong Kong to be in the same time zo...

Re: Mobipus Controllers
I recently finished this off for a friend - has the Mobipus 200A The BMS is limiting to 150A...(set at 140) and phase amps to 240.... so not really getting the most out of it, but it's still a fair amount of power, and really great variable regen. A lot of settings, and some could only be unlocked w...
