Re: Titanium Fatbike - Bafang Ultra and Phaserunner

hi, my son and i followed your thread with a big big smile on our faces! Gorgeous build! Can you tell me where you got the frame (and wheels and motor?)? i'd like to build something similar. Great build! The frame supplier I already mentioned above: https://bjcsti.en.alibaba.com/product/60753397707...

maybe silly question, but can these be programmed with a charging curve for example winston lithium cells?
I'm looking to charge my 16s pack with one charger, and like to top off with a lower current...

True, and might be so, but as you state yourself; even this one isn't really cheap as well.. Then, when you have a problem (like i do) and no support, it becomes really expensive....

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Wll, my version-1 BMS is still broke. Been trying to solve this from november 2013 on, but as good as no reply from eason unfortunately.... Greg is doing the best he can, but he needs Eason to send him parts, so he's stuck as well... I think its a bad thing that this goes on and on for 5 months now....

Hubmotor-on-fire question...

Hello, A year ago, my electric scooter with 8Kw 13" hubmotor cought fire during the night while charging. To make a long story short: all is lost, exept the hubmotor. Now i found the courage to test it, and the windings seem to be o.k. The halls act really erratic, couldn't explain it... So, i opene...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

I think this is the time to let everyone know where i purchased this BMS. In the Netherlands there's a one-man show company **edited**, run by **Edited**, and he sold me the defective BMS. He literally told me to contact HIS supplier with these problems, as he didn't have any time for me ti figure o...

VX-2 speed adjust setting/code

Hello, There seem to bee settings that can alter the max. speed setting of the Vectrix VX-2. Is there anyone that can tell me how to adjust this top speed? Word goes around that the lithium VX-2 has a top speed of 10KM/h higher than lead, 80KM/h i'd really like to know how to alter these settings. A...

Elcon // tcch charger question

Hello, There's a lot of questions regarding the charging curve settings of a elcon charger. Now, there's stated that one needs to re-send the charger to Elcon in order to have it re-programmed. Now, i was searching to a good souce, when i stumbled on a document that said thefollowing; Choice of Char...

Winson voltage TCCH Elcon vectrix question

Hello, (Confusing title, isn't it? 8) ) I have a Vectrix VX-2 equipped with 16x Winston 90Ah cells. My intention was to put 100Ah in it, but the person that sold me these, ordered 90Ah (don't ask...) Now, first place i want my battery space filled to the max, for maximum range and electric freedom. ...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Sent you PM. There might be some hardware issue in input section of the BMS or in LTC chip itself. Not very likely, but - anything can happen to a live man they say! :) Regards, Gregor p.s. Such scenario (too high in-between voltages) occured to me once, when I connected 3 cells in wrong order i.e....

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Gregor, I'm sure eason is not one of the thirteen-in-a-dozen chinese supplyers, but in a month time, there should be a spot of five minutes to send a reply, right? As for the BMS, i described above. From the first chip, voltages are not correct. The first and last cell of the firts chip are okay, bu...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Did this company drop the ball on support. I have been researching a BMS for my Greyborg and remembered this thread. I won't bother buying their product if they are another typical Chinese company with no support. Well, in my opinion it is too soon to conclude such, but the odds arn't very positive...

Its a pitty... I still have a non-working version-1 BMS, and its been a month now since last contact with Eason. I find it very uncomfortable that i have a non working BMS for over 2 months now, and can't get to contact the vendor... What started as really enthoustiastic, is a bit of a bummer now......

Hi, I got my BMS wired in right now, and set some values (posted a pic of the settings at the foundingpower-bms topic) Do you thnk i need to have it charged to 3.65 volts, and start balance at 3.7 volts or so? Currently, i set it to 3.350 volts balancien, and 3.300 charge stop (by head, not quite su...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Okay, I had the external current sensor the wrong way. In the drawing it is specified, but this seems to be the wrong direction. I took the time to reference the sensor, and put it the other way round on the cable. Now, when pulling current it gives negative energy, and when regenerating, it gives p...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Today i had my first drive with the BMS. I have to set the current and match it to a reference value, so its probably not exact yet. What bothers me, is this: I have fully charged the pack, charging current was 9 amps, so this could be quite correct. When full, i reset the pack value, so all was 90A...

Re: foundingpower programmable bms

Can anyone tell me if it is also possible to put the current hall in the positive battery lead, instead of the negative?
It naturally has to be wired the other direction, thats clear...
Its a bit neater to wire in the positive, the way my setup is assembled.
