Re: Nuvinci developer kits for cheap

Hi,

Does anyone have a copy of the software which came with the dev kit?
I need to update my config tables, but I can't find the software to upload.
(I would need the upload tool, and the two drivers.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ash.

The Harmony sounds good on paper. But I can't find anywhere to buy one from. It seems like they are only selling to OEMs.

Re: Tonaro User group

Can someone help me find a 200w+ brushless motor for an early model Tonaro that has a 250w brush motor? Any suggestions welcome. The existing 250w brush motor is seriously underpowered. How about: http://www.aseakoelectricbike.com.au/products-page/spare-parts/aseako-200w-brushless-motor/ They are i...

Re: are u looking for a prefect motor controller, gather here

Does anyone know which controllers are the smaller (physical) sized ones?

These looks like a nice controller for the price. But my bike does not need a lot of power. 48V 20A is heaps for me.

Also do you know what the following does?
- boost function?
- Magnetic flux weaken?

Re: Hyena's super awesome isolated high current balance char

Methods, I would be interested if you have a link to such a power supply. Especially if there is a power supply with two independent and isolated outputs. That would be great. Realise you said anything switching and isolated, but I think the isolated part is sometimes a bit hard to find. I am not su...

Re: Tonaro User group

What size chain wheel did you get? 5/16 (10 speed), 3/8 (8 speed), 1/2 (bmx)?

Edit: I have probably got those sizes wrong. Don't normally work in inches.

Re: Micargi Bronco E-Bike Cruiser mid-drive

Can you post a close up picture of how you got two chain rings on the nuvinvi hub.

I always thought it would be better to have the motor drive the back wheel, though the gears, without first having to gear down to pedal rpms, only to gear back up to the back wheel.

Re: Tonaro User group

Motor speed is related to voltage. So going from 36 to a 48v battery would get you up in the 70rpm (pedal) range. Yes, getting a higher voltage battery is my next project, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to get nice batteries into the stock compartment. I want the bike to have a cl...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Love the progress, although "PC Connection" wouldn't always be an accurate description if it's connected to a smart phone. I can't think of a better phrase to use that would be more general though. "External Config Mode" maybe? While it may not be accurate, I think most people would understand what...

Re: Hyena's super awesome isolated high current balance char

Based on Hyena's experience with these been non-isolated. I think you might create a short circuit between 2-3 and 4-6.

Someone more knowledge should pipe in.

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Set the start speed to some nominal figure of 4-5kph / mph ? That way the throttle will do nothing unless the bike is already moving ? I want the throttle to be completely disconnected so it's only the torque sensor that drives the motor. Just curious as to why you need it different to the throttle...

Re: Any way to get 48v and 12v out of the same battery bank?

How many amps do you need to draw on the 12v? I have seen some small DC-DC 48V -> 12V converters which are around 90% efficient and can handle around the 10-50A mark. For example something like this: http://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mean-Well/SD-500L-12/?qs=umBTOZqEewg%252bfke7MPhKCjRTszCnURk6KhyI...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Can the Aux input be used to control max throttle out? I am trying to think of a way of using the new CA, to control the performance of a PAS, mid mount bike. So you can use the three way switch on the handle bars to say, Pedestrian mode (10%, 5kph, very slow accell), bike mode (70%, 30kph, medium a...

Re: Nuvinci developer kits for cheap

Consider this. Think about a big hill you climb. If you were riding a pedal bike (no motor) would you climb that hill at 10mph in the same gear you would ride on the flats at 10mph? I wouldn't. The Nuvinci in auto-shift mode does just that though. The problem with this statement, is I wouldn't ride...

Re: Tornaro Bighit Review and Upgrade

I have the 2011 model of this bike: http://www.aseakoelectricbike.com.au/modelsport.html Which is also a Tornaro bike, but with cheaper parts, ie V brakes and a cheaper front fork. (It was less then $1000 though). I don't know about efficiency, but I get 8-9Wh/km at speeds between 20-33km/hr. Which ...

Nice, Is the cost still about the same. I assume this is the Manual N360, and not the Harmony. It would be sweet if it was the Harmony though. I have fitted the Nuvinci Dev Kit on mine (although I have a model without suspension.) but I like the clean look of that model better. Who sells the Zoca br...

The auto shiftier seems to shift really well under full power (500W + Pedaling) on my bike. I am not sure the grade, but I end up in the lowest gear to climb.

Re: Nuvinci developer kits for cheap

Maybe this was answered earlier, but, why are these being offered so cheap? Seems like they have an overstock, maybe? It is an old model, and looks a lot more bulky then the new n360 Harmony. It also seems like a good way of promoting their product. Give away 'samples' cheap, so people find out abo...

Re: Nuvinci developer kits for cheap

So are you just interrupting the speed sensor, and sending the control unit a false speed to get the gear you want?
Then in fully automatic mode, you just send though the speed data un-modified?

Also, where did you get the push button from? (I would like one of those.)

Half in 12 months, how come ?? Yeah 20 k for 3kw, don't forget this is Europe where everything is expensive.
