I'd advance and promote a.c. onboard fast charging to out compete d.c. fast charging.

Simple 330V charging circuit
I was thinking about this and if and how it could work to fast charge a large Lifepo4 EV pack that has good BMS protection and where there is an ample supply available of say 150A+, 415V, 3phase. Example 30kW pack at approx 3C in about 20 mins. Presently only come across this type of charging for sm...

You'd need 16 pins, might have to use a DSUB or 2x 8S JST.Racer_X wrote: Anybody know where i can buy the JST PH 2.0mm female 15 pin connector plug w/wire?

Another interesting thing about all this is amount of protester's I have noticed who show up around nuclear power plants in Japan they have like 2000 people show up to protest against nuclear is completely pathetic and crappy compared to 10,000+ people that might show up in the protest in Melbourne...

Re: Big spark when connecting battery to bike
On my wee 14.5AHr 36v Dolphin pack I used to get a spark if the charger was off at the mains before I plugged it in but if the charger is already on, it plugs in with no spark. On, Charger output caps charged, so small voltage differential between charger and battery. Off, output caps discharged, l...

How do you rate your "Solar AC/DC circuit breakers" to your controller? The highest I could find from local source is 63A 150VDC, and right now I got 65A controller, but later will mod the traces for higher amperage. They are rated on the curve of the breaker, most are B, B/C or C, Like I...

Re: Big spark when connecting battery to bike
Most automotive fuses are not rated for the voltage in use. That's because the automotive fuses are rated for automotive use up to around 30-40V max. When the fuse blows, say due to a controller short circuit fault or battery lead short, a higher voltage than rated will sustain the current through ...

So how did labour end up with a small dept after the GFC ??... .. By going into it with a large surplus !....curtesy of the previous government ! It's not the job of government to run a surplus, it's job is to look after its people, a perfect balance of payments wouldn't be overly positive or overl...

Scare campaign ?? The only thing that scared me was the total irresponsible financial management of the previous bunch. I don't have political alliances, I judge governments on actual performance. So how did our performance rate to the rest of the OECD, coming through the GFC? Here you go- banner-7...

Hi, Peak grid  Good to see youve peaked  Here in Australia our actual annual grid consumption has dropped, since it peaked in 2008, now down by about 10% and we weren't affected by the GFC, it's been due to a combination of increases in electricity prices, increase in use of energy m...

Re: Big spark when connecting battery to bike
The ones I bought were worthless for my application with 24s lipo once I found out the resistor was only 6 ohm. They shouldn't be used with voltages over 24V imo, though some have used them with up to 12s lipo. It all depends on the controller. They might work ok with a low voltage controller with ...
