I'm putting together an EB324 fet controller as well and just pondering whether or not I should add some snubber caps as.

Mac Motor Halls Replacement

Hello everyone. I have a Mac motor with a bad hall sensor. I used one of those cheap Ebike testers. I also tested the halls with a multimeter and a 5v supply and confirmed that the one hall is bad. I checked the motor's wiring with a meter and a meggar. The harness checks out and there no shorts. I ...

Re: Torque Raptor ebike + frame kit

[quote="sacko"]From what I read, the 20% discount is ordering 10+ frames.

Nope. I might be bringing more into Canada in the future and will become a Torque dealer so they have offered a 20% discount.

Re: Torque Raptor ebike + frame kit

Hi guys. I was going to order a bicycle frame kit for evaluation and finally got a response from Torque bikes. If anyone would like to jump in on my order we can possibly enjoy a 20% saving. I have no affiliation with this company and you must keep in mind that I have no idea if Torque Bikes is legi...

Re: Welding battery packs in Europe

I would be interested in buying some new cells. Are the cells new? I was under the impression that the only way to get the Sony Konion cells was to rip open Makita etc battery packs.

I have been eyeing the local kijij and craiglist's for a broken A2B for over couple years now. Congrat's on a great score, I will be following this one!

Re: Fechter's Mini Meanwell Limiter V.3

Turns out the resistor was fine. I replaced it (and tested it first) but the limiter is still not limiting. If you would like some help you really have to be more specific as to what is the defect and details of your setup. Can you post some pics of your meanwell limiter board and pics of where you...

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

In the kit description, they state the opposite of what is in the description of the hub motor: Greenbikekit: Kit Description: The RPM 328 is for 24", 26" and 28"/700C; the RPM 201 is for 16", 20", 24" Hub Description: Note: 328RPM is suitable for 16"~22" wheel; while 201 RPM is suitable for 24"~28"...

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

I plan on using a 37V 10S6P LIMN battery inside a Bionx battery case. Greenbikekit does not have the 328 rpm in stock only the 201 rpm. It looks like you are saying that I would be better off with a 201 rpm motor. This is from greenbikekit: "Note: 328RPM is suitable for 16"~22" wheel; while 201 RPM ...

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

Looks like the V-brake version of the Cute 85 is the way to go for me. The V-brake Q85 axle size is 83mm, so I don't see an issue with spreading the fork 9mm. There is no real throttle solution for the Keyde motor and I would much rather keep it simple with a sensored motor. The Q85 motor is availab...

Those little motors look like a blast and very stealthy. The Keyde kit selling ebay is almost $800, is the keyde motor that much better than the others?

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

The Bullhead does not have a folding handlebar like those models. The handle bar just turns out of the way similar to a bike with an ahead type headset. What worries me is the headset on the Bullhead looks different than a typical ahead system in that headset components don't tighten the stem down o...

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

I might order a Bullhead and see if a custom fork is possible. I really don't like the idea of the fork folding on me because I bent the fork. I know what you are saying, bending the fork is a dangerous idea.

Re: Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

Be careful with Dahon - on some models (most? All? I don't know) they use a 75mm or 80mm wide front fork & hub, as opposed to the 100mm more typical. With the thinner front fork, most motor's won't fit. That might be a deal breaker, that blows. Thanks for pointing that out! Just googled it and the ...

Another Folder, Dahon Bullhead FWD

Hi everyone. Trying to come up with a good motor/bike choice. After taking it for a test ride I've narrowed the bike down to a Dahon Bullhead. The bullhead is a pleasure to ride and I'm excited to see it perform under power. The folding mechanism seems pretty solid and the triangle style frame is a ...

Re: Mac Motor Freewheel Options

Both Shimano trigger shift pods, and SRAM twist grips are available to bike shops, from J&B. Any bike shop can order from J&B, if they don't already have them in stock. These will work with any Shimano rear derailleur, through current 9 speed, and Shimano compatible SRAM rear derailleurs. The 7 spe...
