Re: Reading data from my sabvoton controller

hi,

in the .xlsx file you can find the code:

start code: 01060FC73421EDFB hex

hope this helps you.

Re: Reading data from my sabvoton controller

i think the adruino needs to send the start code to the controller on startup.

and maybe you can add the reverse wire to the controller. I map out the wireing on my controller in this post:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=56378&start=25#p1337210

hope this helps

Re: Active pre-charge/inrush control

in my build log there is some more info. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=83316#p1291037

so the chip is a LTC4252 Hotswap controller
used a LR8 as a constant current soure to power the LTC4252
the current source is better than a fix resistor for use with a big voltage range.

Re: Reading data from my sabvoton controller

my controller has a wire to change the motor direction. you can switch that wire with the arduino.

i don't know if the system status changes when in revers. maybe check that with the pc program

Re: Active pre-charge/inrush control

I used a linear tech part for my inrush limiter. cant recall the part number right now.
it a chip controlling a low side mosfet with a current sense resistor. Used a constant current source ic to supply the LT part because it uses a internal zener. could post a schematic if there is interest.

Re: 150A BMS "blown" at 110A during lab test. Video attached. What next?

you are confusing the voltage across the mosfet and the battery voltage.
when the mosfet is on and conducting 14A @ 1.7m ohm x 1.5(150 ºC) voltage Vds = 35.7mV

I do not see a obvious reason for the failure

edit: what is the gate voltage?

just open it up! than we can see what is dead.

replacement parts are probably best sourced from digi-key, mouser or similar

good luck

Re: For Sabvoton sine wave motor controller users

does your hall connector have a 6st wire? if so connect a 10k ohm resistor between that wire(Yellow-white) and the ground wire(black).
the controller will think your motor is 25 °C all the time.

good luck

the baudrate will probably be the same. i think my controller has a empty spot on the PCB for a rs485 converter chip.

Re: Help with Sabvoton and USB ($20 PayPal reward!)

have you tried to flip the green and white wire?

if it is rs485 you will need a other converter.

can you open up the controller to check if there is a rs485 converter chip?

i whas thinking about this type of sabvoton.

so lets try again.

check the connections between the "USB" and the connector going in the sabvoton.

if the ground is broken the serial com's will not work

Re: Help with Sabvoton and USB ($20 PayPal reward!)

you can check the ground connection from the "USB" connector to the plug on the sabvoton side. the ground connection connects to pin 1. 5 volt is on pin 2 . USB white is on pin 7. USB yellow is on pin 6 if there is a brake in the ground line, you can use any other ground wire. from the throttle conn...

the 500 watt of the motor is the max, so driving it with a 350 watt controller is on problem.
the sine controller make less noise and can be smoother.

there is no connection between you laptop and the controller. in the video i see only the tx "led" blinking on the software, and not the rx meaning the software is sending data but not getting a response. to find the correct serial port. open the device Manager on the laptop, open the tab ports(com ...

depends on the sensor tech.

if it uses a current transformer no you can't use it on dc
if it uses a hall effect sensor, it might work
