Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

210cells is whats really fits inside with honeycomb layout and holders(for safety) This will be a 16s13p so 45Ah instead of stock 32Ah with some good cells Nice! Can you get empty cases from Sur Ron? It would be pretty expensive to have to cannibalize working packs to make new ones. It would be nic...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I would argue about safety still(even if most of my packs are glued and I've built hundreds) but even if you glue them you dont gain any extra cell on the wide nor on the long side with this particular case, its like half of the cell on both directions so not really worth gluing anyway. Sanyo is sti...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Can now confirm that new controller have more power. Old controller: 65A(sport) 20A(EP) max speed: ~71km/h New: 75A(sport) 42A(EP) max speed: ~80km/h It does storm that 30° hill in previous videos a lot easier. This is a perfect upgrade once they will be out for public! Checked the new square wave ...

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

Wet is not a problem at all as it does have teeth so it will never slip with proper tension. Take that you already have a belt on your surron now. Mud, it really all depends on what type of mud - if it is thick and/or with stones in it for sure it could be a problem.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Auto regen takes some getting used to. It's just like the Tesla. I would prefer it to only engage when you pull the brakes so you can still coast. I'd also love to have something like that, or maybe reverse throttle twist for regen. Ok, so if anyone knows who I should contact, preferably in the EU,...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Luna is now separately selling the X Controller with regen: https://lunacycle.com/sur-ron-model-x-sine-wave-controller/ I don't think they have regen. I bought one, paid full price ($525) and it doesn't have regen. Also, very little increase in power over stock. Stock was 77 amps, X controller is 8...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

If you want the best: https://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/chargers/cycle-satiator-72v-5a.html But the 83,8 is fine. You if you charge your cells to about 4,1V=82V you will have a greater life span on the pack. No need to squeeze those extra Volts, you gain extremely little range but lo...

Sure did, rode all day today! The sound is very pleasant I would say. You know that pleasure of riding a totally silent DD? Well with this I had the same enjoyment Its is like riding a car with a nice engine, you like the sound of it. I updated the manual here: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/view...

I finally got some instrumentation installed on mine: Img_0964.jpg Cycle Analyst is tied in now, but only measures the current going to the controller and not the dc-dc converter. I found the switched pack voltage line coming from the key and picked up one of the hall sensor signals for speed. I'm ...

It's just a stock heat sink not a cover. They just turned the unit the right way. I would paint it black as well on a dark bike.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Just search adaptto sur ron on yt and check the performance. This dude on green bike has around 72V and 62t sprocket. Looks like it does pretty good with max-e. Why dont you install your controller ron surron and check it out. But my guess is that a BAC4000 would be much more competent than max-e ht...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I will be getting 8k for sure. The cost is almost the same so why even bother. Besides, you can always sell or re-use it when it is time to move on with another project. But there is a few other controllers that are very interesting and will cost you half the price like 24Fet nucular coming this sum...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

In most cases, If you balance out the cells at 3.5 and then charge them to 4.2, all of them will not be equal at the top. Same goes if you equalise them at 4.2. Later when you drain the cells to 3.5 all of them will not be even. So find your favourite spot where you check the cell balance - be it at...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I think what they mean is the belt is not optimal for track racers(or just regular bikes). They use human power to propel themselves, and much of this (low)power they generate goes into belt. We generally create around 150-250W when using regular bikes. But our bikes are 4-6kW so things here are tot...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Dunno about hearing loss, I used to shoot machine guns without hearing protection and listen to loud music and riding really loud bikes - my hearing is still perfect when tested. After all that, doubt that I will get hearing loss from e-bike rides.
