Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Please try to not misinform ppl here if you are not sure about the facts.
The motor(P/N 11100-YQ2A-0200 u can find this label when lifting up the skid plate) has a KTY84 temp sensor installed so the protection is present.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I have never had problems with lifting up the wheel with 52T at low speed. Especially easy off road! The stock 48T is not fun at all, I admit. New X controller, "V2" is sick! 90DC Amps and 450Phase. The difference is really there. And when I drop in the 13p 30Q battery the bike is really wild compa...

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

Hi, Due to big diameter of the pulley, yours is within tolerances when it comes to beating against the wooden piece. I would not worry at all. What your Video shows is perfectly fine. This could be due to several reasons: *The China hubs are usually not perfect - you can usually see it when installi...

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

I would not trust the marks( I dont even have it on my older model) I think using a caliper like in my manual works better to see if the axle is aligned. But best would be a combination of a caliper and a stright tube - like Madin does.

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

Shims are not needed. Enough if you just make a quarter turn on the adjusting screws on the swingarm to realign te belt.

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

Looks good, although it is recommended to check the tension on the below part of the belt. What tyres do you use? So you never added grease on the actual teeth but rather on the high side of them - the outer side where the flange of the big pulley is? Interesting. I try to adjust the belt so it bare...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

And you dont want 5403 unless you use it for high speed cruising. Doing some light offroad then 5404 is better - less heat, more efficient, you should also have better acc from dead stop on that one.

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

Great that some of you already got it and installed the belts!
Also glad the you are positive on the noise.
I am running my belt at around 50hz now just to see how it works. Have a few batt cycles without issues on stock controller.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

My Magura MT5 can make noise at the rear. I think this have something to do with pistons extracting unevenly which makes one pad have uneven pressure on one of its sides and starts to vibrate. I bet this issue will go away when swapping to MT7 pads, because they are individual, so 4 smaller pads for...

Re: Sur-Ron - Belt upgrade KIT

I have not looked at them. Maybe you can retrofit the chain links?
Anyway, the plate was initially made for pedals and with the thick plate provided with this kit it is just as strong after the cutting.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

GAs are better than 35E, less iR and hold up better when it comes to capacity after certain amount of cycles.

Was at the race track all day, emptied a pack on the dirt track as well, love this belt thing!

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

CA3 is almost identical to CA2 the main diff is the software. It is made in Canada and is used in most DIY builds in this forum and so you are totally unlimited in what you can do with all its functions. Stealth used this computer from the very first models as this was the only(and still is) generic...

Hey Guys... as you know, I’m putting the bike back together and I’m contemplating putting a Full Twist Throttle system on. Doing a search in the forum, I see that a few of you have installed them a while back. I want to get your opinion, are you still happy with the choice..? Or should I stick with...
