Re: MYATU X7 Electric Mountain Bike 26" (hobbyking)

POST #2 reserved for MODS, Tweaks and Upgrades Mods that ill like to do: * Change front chainring as it is almost impossible to help the bike when speed is 22+km/t as you have to pedel VERY fast. This does require changing the whole pedal as this bike has a fixed chainring. * Make a PROPER rear fend...

Does anybody have an idea for the best friction drive wheel/material? So far i have done: bike/moped tire/wheel rubber - good contact in dry conditions, NONE in wet, gets grinded down pretty fast Belt sander sandpaper - This works in dry and wet, so far have done 80 and 150 grit, 150 seems to eat ti...

2' Mountain-bike with disc brakes, 8 Gear direct drive from VW Viper Motor This is the second bike i make with direct drive, friction drive is a bit troublesome in the snow we have here right now, the glue fails, snow buildup causes friction to be lost and almost no power is being transfered to the ...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

well am also leaning more to the 50V setup instead and keeping the motor stock at 250KV, im actually looking at using less the 5KW for this build, and yes winding the motor with VERY few winds and VERY thick wire will be quite a stress on ESC, to start with im just buying the motor and using the thi...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

Thanks for the fast response :), i was actually looking to UP the KV to around 400-500KV but i don't know if this will kill performance, of course i could leave it at 250 an run 40-50V to 8000+ RPM under load, which is the best route in your XP?, 22.2V and AMPS!!!! or 40-50V and amps.

Re: Another RG250 with Colossus Motor

Considering the size/weight and tire size of your bike 70Wh/km is pretty good, my DM50 is using about 31Wh/km (mixed driving), and it has a weight of only 60kg and 2.25 tires

Hope you get the battery fixed, not fun to only use about half of the capacity....
