Re: All-In-One Motor

Hi gman959, welcome to ES!

I am not sure why wires a bother. All motors have wires coming out of them. If you don't like brush-less motors you can always try a brushed motor.

Tell us a bit more of what you are thinking about when you say everything in the motor.

Re: My first massive controller with these connectors

.... .... Do you think i could cruedly tap the connector to pinch the wires? If you want to, yea you could do it. It might vibrate loose though. A cheap cold chisel might help the crimp. It still is a "hit and miss" proposition though. I would research how car battery connectors are connected and f...

Re: 2019 16" moped/scooter tire pop-off: which is the most puncture proof?

I've had sealant prevent patching a tube in the field when it fails to do it's job after taking too many hits. Made things significantly worse for me. Have also had a tire liner wear a crescent-shaped mark into a tube and popped it in a short time. It also failed to prevent a side flat. This is bec...

If you are trying to get the voltage down with one magnet, how about running the ss41 through a small trim pot and let the magnet do the rest?

Re: Unusual Motor Behavior-Who has seem this???

I say bad throttle or as others have said, loose connection. I once had an intermittent problem like that, turned out to be a loose solder joint on the board of my watt meter.

If you have not already done so, simply the system to essentials only and see if it still does it.

Well, I just had a new one for me....

My screen went blue starting from the top and going to the bottom.

There was some QR scanner icon and text that read....windows.com/stopcode.

Windows stopcode???

The system rebooted itself and things are running again for the moment.....

Re: When Windows 7 is dead in 2020 what OS will you migrate to??

I had an Atari ST when they first came out. Helped me through school. As I recall it had 512k or ram that I was told could be increased by purchasing ram chips and soldering them to the existing ram. At the time I had never worked with RAM chips so I ended up taking it to a retired JPL electronics g...

Re: When Windows 7 is dead in 2020 what OS will you migrate to??

I only stick with windows because I am not all that great with programing. Dyslexic as I am, trying to put together a new Linux kernel would often lead to disaster for me. And, I find Mac more expensive then even a disastrous Windows experience. So, IMO if you aren't a computer scientist, they got y...

Re: Waterproof wire nuts vs soldering connections

I wouldn't relay on wire nuts alone. Wire nuts, properly twisted, also rapped in some sort of self sealing silicone tape should be ok. Get the right size for your wires. Keep the wires being twisted together as similar gauge as possible. Just remember, the wire nuts on their own can wiggle free. And...

Most of the indigent types aren't going to take any hard chance. Deep fear in their hearts. Sad but true because they are really screwed up. If no one is really looking, snatch they will. It is a form of mental illness really. Fear if you are watching. The path of least resistance is what they want....

Oh, and in case one wonders why people arn't looking to sue Microsoft, well this is what you get when you start to upgrade to windows 10. (Note the arbitration and class action waiver clause.)

Just "upgraded" to to windows 10 pro. It is still free to do. Had to do it for specific new programs to function well. The process seemed seamless. So it is down the rabbit hole I go.....

I can't afford a CA setup. I bought a Watts-Up watt meter to hookup. I have a 48 volt battery that always stays hot. Re: 18650 Configuration - 24S20P or 20S24P?

The amp draw doesn't change with a normal voltage drop. As you battery's get used (usage, age, heat, etc) you will start to notice more sag, but that will take a while if all your cells are new. So the answer is the voltage in a new battery will drop but not the amp draw. In other words, your battery...
