Thunder Power tp1430c 13s and 14s pin configurations

Can anyone help me make sure I have the balancer wires configured correctly on the tp1430c? a schematic would be nice. I have a 13s lilo pack that has 2 balance connectors JST-XH 6s and 7s. I had it wired to work with the Hyperion 1420i. Which, I believe, is configured differently. I say that becaus...

Re: Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

so you're saying that I can connect the battery's main leads to the charger, and connect just One of the balance jacks, It'll only charge those corresponding cells (without effecting the other cells, even though I have power going through the whole battery)? No. What I said above is that the 9S cha...

Re: Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

Ok so the electricity flows through the unconnected cells without charging them? I wish I had a diagram or video showing how the electricity flows to balance/charge the batteries cells. The impression I had was that the balance wires acted like a gate, stopping the flow to the fully charged cells, w...

Re: Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

I guess I'm confused. I was under the impression that if I were to charge the battery with only one of the balance connectors (like the 7s first) other half of the battery would charge without any balancing (potentially over charging the other 6 cells). Am I wrong in thinking this?

Re: Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

yes, but only one main feed (pos and neg - 54.4v fully charged). I like to balance charge them. I know for a fact that 2 of the 13 cells are weak and won't deal well with over charging (aka VS charge Then balance). Or am I thinking incorrectly? This is my first lithium-ion battery (though I've been ...

Re: Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

I would rather not have to break apart and re-wire my 13s pack just so I can charge it. I use this pack on my electric scooter and I have to charge it about every other day. The Thundercat is exactly what I need, but yeah... wow it's expensive. So those are my only two options?!?! Thanks for the rep...

Hyperion 1420i net3 replacement?

Hello folks! I have a custom built 13s10p Li-Ion battery pack (48v pack with 156 samsung 18650 cells making is a 13s-12p pack). I was using the Hyperion 1420i net3 to charge it but it died last night. I went to go find a another one and it seems that Hyperion.hk has been acquired and the charger is ...

What's potting though?
potting is the filler they put in and around the circuit board to protect it.

Excellent! Occationally the stators wont come off.... so which ever way works! Be sure to test the halls before starting the bypass (save yourself time, solder, and copper).

Re: How to bypass internal controller on brushless motors?

well, First off, I wouldn't bother trying to get it to work with that controller as it's rated far lower than what these motors will put out. But I understand the need to keep things cheap. have you looked at this thread? http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=20910 I will be curious ...

Re: Bypassing a brushless 600w MAC/BMC

Yeah this was just a straight up test with no diagnostic equipment of any kind, hobbyking is out of stock on their wattmeters. So you think I should mount it to a bike first then try different phase combinations? Will do. I tried to save the hall wires but after cutting the insulation to solder on ...

I tested all of mine with the lynn controller set to 36v/47amp and I road it for about a block and I couldn't feel any heat on it.... but that doesn't mean it wouldn't fry out. when I tested it I used the CA and the highest Wattage it pull...

Re: Bypassing a brushless 600w MAC/BMC

JoramsWeapon: nice shot side by side like that! I highly suggest taking the stator off if you really want to clean out the potting. I used a drill to get most of it out quickly. but like I said, it really not necessary to take out the potting on the 600w.
