12S, 35A ESCs for Electric airplane project?

I am looking for advice on ESCs for a manned electric airplane that I am currently building. I posted in the aircraft section but that doesn't get much traction (pardon the pun) and I figured this group would have the most experience with these ESCs My ultralight will use 14 1.7kW BLDC motors (12S, ...

Re: Finally started my electric aircraft build

That MONI is very cool!. Understand the prop constraint but then I looked for aft folding props (side folding won't help the drag problem) I didn't find anything that would be big enough. You will need the prop diameter to be significantly bigger then wing chord for propulsion efficiency? Have you h...

Re: Finally started my electric aircraft build

I don't think that it would be the best for a motor glider due to the higher drag when the propellers are windmilling. I think that you would be better off with a single larger motor that can be retracted or have a aft folding propeller for lowest cruise drag.

Re: A123 20Ah cells price down to 17.50$ per cells?

I just ordered 8 of these 20ah cells from a chinese source for testing to see if they are what they claim to be. I was programming my charger looking for charge/discharge specs when I stumbled upon this page. I am interested in a group by at this price as well, anf can't wait to hear more. I am look...
