New battery for stealth bomber e-bike

I’m trying to order a 72volt , 24-30 amp hour battery that needs to fit in the battery compartment of the bike. 355mm long 120mm wide 160mm deep I see some batteries that say they fit but the dimensions are slightly too big for my compartment. I want a decent battery but Doesn’t have to be top of th...

Should I rebuild a 72v lithium battery

The battery is from a stealth bomber electric bike. It’s 72volts and 24 or more amp hours. The battery is 4 years old. It went dead after 500 miles and I bumped it back to life with my lead acid charger. I could always go almost 20 miles range. It went another 500 miles then this summer it dies afte...

Should I buy used batteries on eBay?

I’ve been seeing tons of used cells on eBay from Panasonic and a123. Alarmhookup has quite a few different configurations removed from medical and military applications as well as individual 18650 cells. They have thousands of reviews and a high seller rating. Does anyone have any experience with th...

Need millipak calibrator

Just getting my sevcon millipak connected to an etek motor and it looks like I have to have a $250 calibrator to change the factory settings.

Re: Looking for a brushless controller with PWM

lebowski said his will not work... Looking at your, eh, vehicle, is it some sort of self balancing segway type thing ? For this my controller is not suitable... Mine is meant for a bicycle or car type vehicle. When you select reverse my controller will jump into a regen mode where it slows the forwa...

Looking for a brushless controller with PWM

I've been building some self balancing vehicles and I use an arduino outputting pwm to drive them. glennselectric.blogspot.com Now I want to control a brushless hub motor. I'm having trouble finding something that meets my spec: -48v -100 or so amps peak -direct and instant control of speed and dire...

Re: Need help selecting lifp04 battery

Okay, think I'll try the a123 from zero emissions. I would not usually order stuff from china that only accepts paypal, but since they are endorsed by endless sphere I'll do it.

Thanks for the help...

Need help selecting lifp04 battery

Here is what I think I need for multiple robot / Segway projects I have with various voltage and amp hour needs. Four 12v lifepo4 packs between 5 and 10ah. I want to use the packs in series or parallel to get higher voltage or ah depending on my project. A good charger ( or 4 chargers) to charge up ...

Re: Will regen braking damage a lifepo4?

The vehicles are only ebike size, and should only generate 20 amps tops, and just a few seconds.

I would like 10 amp hours and 36v. Can you recommend a BMs and pack that would accommodate 20 amp bursts of regen...

Thanks,

Will regen braking damage a lifepo4?

I had a $700 Chinese lipo that fried a couple years ago after it had a full charge and the regen brake kicked in. I want to buy another pack for Segway type robotics projects and they can generate quite a bit of regen. I am strongly considering nimh, but would gladly switch to lifpo4 if I knew it co...

Controlling a brushless hub motor with arduino

I have several hub motors with 3 power leads and 5 sensor pins. I'd like to drive these motors from an arduino.

I ordered the open source motor controller ( osmc) for burshed motors, and I'd like the same thing for brushless...
