Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

58T Sprocket? Check, Renthal Chain 420 pitch Check. Power wheelies? Check. So my indicated speed is 76Kh/H with the 58T. We all know that aint correct. Took it down the road to a police radar trailer which confirmed top speed at 36MPH. It would appear that speed is measured off the motor. Anyone goi...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

One of these certainly would look good on one of the green bikes. http://imghst.co/65/yBBvsnA&1N.JPG question for Sur-ron dealer / distributors : what is the headset size / standard used on light bee, 1.5 standard, 1 1/8 standard, tapered, integrated or external bearing cups.. this will be a factor...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

How's the colour in person ? Is it powdercoat or anodizing ? It looks fairly thin in the pics but I guess it's hard to tell. In the pedal kit tutorial video posted ages back the swing arm and main frame are a different colour which looked pretty average. As for the battery charging thing, as I alwa...

Updates on my battery, and I find and fix a loose spoke.

nice review, I have a couple of nipples that are warped as well from tensioning the spokes. My hope is the spokes take a set and I don't have to worry about it for a bit.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The shinkos SR241 is way way wider than their advertised size. Mine measures out at a little over 2 inches wide. They are considerably bigger (higher profile) and wider than the stock tires. I think Rix means the shinko 241 19 x 2.75 is just over 3 inches wide .. if you try to go any wider the rear...

http://3dtopo.com/oldFatBike.jpg You can always drive into Banks and eat there giving you a 3rd option. Beautiful picture. That probably took some effort to pedal the fat bike in that snow. I would really like to have more rubber in the back. Anyone think a 110/80 trials tire will fit?
It will not fit, but I think a Shinko SR241 2.75-19 will fit. It a bit bigger than the stock tire.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

You lucky guy, Crouch is one of the most beautiful places in the state. I love Crouch. I rode dirt bikes up there in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. What you know as Terrace Lakes was once a great place to ride. Used to unload at the Silver creek plunge and ride from there. There are trail systems all...

I would love to ride with you Luke. But it's not as glamorous as you might think. I ride boring and careful at 60 yrs old. Unless I do something stupid like riding with liquid courage. I did nut up and hit the jump even though everything was telling me not to. My left ankle hurts, but it's a good k...

Alright, I measured the volt on the halls connector that comes from the controller with the bike on. Got 2V. Any ideas?
I think its supposed to be 4.95-5 volts for the throttle sensor. I am not sure though.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I would not be particularly worried about running a 92v battery with a 100v controller. I think I read somewhere that my controller is 65 amp max, and it comes from the factory set for 60 amp even though I always see 67 amp peak recorded. How many thousands does this amazing new battery cost? Not s...

So no $h!t, there I was, driving home from work today about 1640 aka 4:40PM on I80 east of a mustang ranch turn off east of Reno when I passed a truck, maybe a Dodge Ram, pulling a Travel/possible Toy Hauler trailer with 2 SUR-RON bikes in the truck bed. Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I keep hearing about a new Bomber battery, but I can't find any information about it. What's the scoop? 22s (92 volts HOC) and 24Ah with a 100amp capable BMS. The scoop is more volts and less volt sag equals more go fast :D Rix, does that mean it won't work in my bike unless I get a new controller?...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

The new motor has an improved water proof connector for the hall/temp wires. So if you send Stealth your controller and DC-1 they will flash the latest software in both controller and DC-1 and update the connector in the controller. I would recommend the new battery if you are upgrading everything....
