Re: Discussions aren't the same quality without Chalo

I have only sporadicaly checked in on ES recently. A glaring omission has been Chalo's presence. Glad to hear you are well. You always broaden my knowledge and invariably make me laugh. Best of luck

Re: First E-Bike - Doing DIY BBSHD - Critique my plan

Off topic to the op and directed to Furcifer. At the point you chose to assemble a hard tail did you already have the knowledge and opinion you hold now? This is the part I cannot capiche. Why did you design something you understood wouldn't work. Could you tell us more about the components you used...

Re: DIY Build - Touring eBike - Journal - Beginner

Now you have settled on a style of frame, I wanted to bring this bike to your attention. I have no idea how to add a link, but if you type Dawes synthesis into UK ebay it should be fairly easy to find. This is a reynolds 653 hybrid tourer with Mavic t261 rims on Hope tandem hubs, Hope bottom bracket...

Off topic, and without meaning offence. Sunder do you have a concurrent thread which could be headed,
0-60mph in 3 seconds on a 8kw motor 150kg motorbike?

Re: Nucular controller

Thanks very much for the speedy reply. Perfect size for ebike packaging. from the information earlier in the thread I make it about 70kv and 5ish Nm. Just checked out Instagram. Looks great, room for a strong axle, plenty of cooling fins and a 3d fan. Look forward to more updates.

Re: Nucular controller

Congratulations and good luck with your controller/bms. Would it be possible to have some basic dimensions for the proposed motor. The specs sound very promising and you clearly know what you are doing.

Re: CHEAP NEW ORYGINAL CELLS LI-ION 18650 FROM 1,09$ 2200-3500mAh!

I bought a couple of 10s packs from Turmich about this time last year. They were less than £120 each. the packs arrived quickly, were well balanced and well packed. After a year and perhaps 75 cycles they still have excellent capacity. I would happily buy from Turmich again.

Re: looking for ideal base for electric car conversion

Hi Izeman. May I suggest an Opel Calibra. Much larger than a CRX and way more numerous. .26 cd,1200kg. Parts I would think are cheap and easily available. As there was a 4wd version, there must be space for a diff at the rear of a regular fwd to make rwd. Probably use a shortened prop and diff from ...

I hope this resolves your issues. My palomino would go through bushes every season under pedal power alone.

Re: Suspension Stems

I used the earlier iterations of these systems riding xc in the late 80's. They were limited in their abilities though they definately helped in endurance events. I have no experience of the more modern examples (mine was a quill, and took a lot of finding in pre internet Britain). I can definately ...

Wanted 250/350w geared front minimotor EU

I am in need of a geared minimotor for an ebike for my sister. I have the next ten days off and would like to get it completed within that timeframe. A cute/bafang/ananda et al front with or without controller and throttle would be great. 24" wheel would be best but, will lace up if need be. I have ...

Re: LandRider Autoshift

Apologies for not making it clearer, the crank cadence of 105 is when driven by the downtube mounted hub motor on a freewheeling crank. This is at its calculated maximum motor efficiency. It is more than possible my assumption is wrong. This is an idea I am thinking outloud after hearing of the autos...
