Re: Sevcon Gen4 Problem - any tips?

Hello everyone, I have a Govecs scooter that was working beautifully until yesterday... yesterday i was modding some parameters (not the first time) and decided to change the encoder angle (for the 1st time) and, all of the sudden, the controller stopped working. What I see in the DVT is similar to ...

Re: Samsung INR18650-25R cycle test.

What parameters do you want me to change in my next INR18650-25 test? I think i will do a 2C discharge. To simulate aggressive riding and regen, can you do this? -Discharge 4C 10s -Charge 2C 10s Measure temperature all the way. In cycle mode the Reaktor can only charge/discharge at the same current...

DrkAngel wrote:Optimal discharge depth looks to be 3.30V at a 1C discharge rate.
This likely relates to a ~3.40V static voltage (After discharge removed)

Re: how to program a sevcon gen4

I have attached the DCF file i rebuilt for you guys! Doc, A few questions, according to the DVT sw: 1 - Why is the "Battery Current Limit Data Source" disabled in the "Master Battery Current limit parameters"? Set up like that you don't have any current limit, at all! I guess the controller will pu...

If anyone really wants silicone cables and think that's worth it, they cost 30 euro meter, so yeah... Need to tell me in advance. I personally don't think it's worth it, since I don't have any discomfort welding with current cables. How about a few of this in parallel? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobb...

Re: pressurised battery (a mad mans idea)

If you contain/pressurize the gasses a lithium cell produces, you simply lose cell performance as the gases displace area electrolyte once wetted making it useful. Questions: If we pressurize the cell, doesn't it become more difficult for gases to form inside the battery? Also, if suficient pressur...

It seems I am mistaken. Excellent. Punching it into emetor with a different motor. I get 10mm Length 6t stator: .117. mH 60mm Length 1t stator: .0116 mH I think the formula is: inductance initial * (Turns final / Turns initial)^2 * (Stator Final / Stator initial) = inductance final .117 * 1/6^2 * 6...

What are you talking about? Revisit your math. If the difference between the 2 batteries is $500 and the "installation, a maintenance agreement, the electrical inverter and control systems" are all the same, why is my math wrong? Who cares about the battery price, people need the complete solution....

Elon Musk at yesterday's 2015 shareholders meeting- 10 kWh PowerWall upgraded from 2 kW continuous, 3.3 kW peak to 5 kW continuous and 7 kW peak. No change in price. Expect installed price of $4000. Backup power version rated for 1200 cycles, daily cycler version rated for 5000 cycles, ~15 years. H...
