Link to the board on OSH Park: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/MAR7Pmnx

He's planning on making another one sometime that is lower profile.

Yes, my friend designed some that he's using for his charger setup. I will ask him to share the files.

Re: Potting Batteries, Thoughts and Experiments

I noticed that your Watt-hours rating on the store page is based on the capacity at a 20A discharge rate, but the pack rating is only 15A peak (I'm assuming that this is limited by the FET ratings on the BMS?). Is this so you can get the rating below 100Wh? You should get more capacity from the cell...

Re: Potting Batteries, Thoughts and Experiments

Lol, I was trying to figure out why you were charging $9 for XT60's and CAD models and not offering CAD for the Anderson version. These packs look really good, keep up the good work!

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited r

More unusual behavior-- the controller is no longer spinning the motor at full RPM unloaded, and if I up the rated motor RPM value the reported motor RPM value goes to something like -130. Byte overflow or maybe some sort of signed/unsigned error? This is with version 1.5.4 of BACDoor. My implementa...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited r

Has anyone else gotten negative values for the inductance and/or resistance values from the motor discovery mode? I've gotten values like -14 for the inductance before (BAC2000), and none of the discovery parameters seem to do any good-- I have gotten the motors spinning though with trial an error.

Re: CAD Files for BAC2000

Would it be possible to get some CAD files for the BAC2000? If not I'll probably make up a rough version and share, but hoping I don't have to.

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited r

Since you mentioned these, how much is BAC1000 or BAC3000? This goes back a little while, but we also finally received our shipment of what ended up being a newer BAC2000 device as well. So still 12 fets but 100V capable and with a peak phase amps of 150A, though a fair bit lower than that continuo...

Re: Farfle's electromotard. Mk. 4

Lots of updates due for the thread: Farfle and I took the bike out for the last time this season at MAC track. Farfle was able to borrow a pair of leathers that fit him and was able to take the bike out on the track himself and did a good job of handling the bike. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-In6XJDD-y...

Re: Farfle's electromotard. Mk. 4

It's been a long time since anything has been posted here, just an update about the team website: there's now a new address that you can reach it at: http://www.farfleracing.com . I was also able to use the stencil cutter at my summer internship to make up some vinyl decals for the bike. https://sph...

Re: An Arduino Liquid Cooling System

Learned some disturbing stuff about the liquid cooling system during our trip down to Leguna Seca. Apparently the water is being pumped into the motor too quickly, causing it to fill with water instead of turning into steam. Since it's an outrunner that meant that the rear tire was getting sprayed w...

Also here is a picture of the motor. The brass tubing is closed at the end and has holes on the outside to spray the water in several directions within the motor:

An Arduino Liquid Cooling System

I've been putting off this thread for months and now I'm almost finished with the project. For Farfle's electromotard (link to thread): http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=49359 he wanted a liquid cooling system so he could use his homemade outrunner with the next size larger Sevco...

Re: Farfle's electromotard. Mk. 4

So Farfle decided to re-wind the motor this week before REFUEL. Apparently one of the phases was partially shorted to the frame... He's got the Nomex paper set up already:

Re: Farfle's electromotard. Mk. 4

Really long two days. Both Farfle and I were running on four hours or less of sleep to get the bike ready for the track day. I can't even begin to cover all of the stuff that went wrong, got fixed, built, re-built, etc. right now, I'm going to bed. But here's the pictures from the event: https://dri...

Huh, that's kind of cool. Only had time for a quick look, but it's cool that Adobe has come out with something for Android development. And I can't believe all of the mobile OS's they support-- will make app development so much better for everyone to be able to package for everything all from one pr...

Re: Cycle Analyst Android App

I bought a cheap ELM327 based bluetooth adapter that I played around with a little bit, and I talked to a friend who has done a lot of CANbus work with the Toyota Prius BMS who said that it should be pretty straightforward to implement, if a little time intensive. I've been tied up with getting the ...

Re: Farfle's electromotard. Mk. 4

Re: Cycle Analyst Android App

They way I see it, the reason the app is "free" is because in order to use it you have to buy their product, and the cost of the app is factored in to the product price. It's also the main way that information gets displayed from their product, so having a separate charge to use the app would probab...
