Re: SURVEY: Your watts at various speeds

Yeah, I've got a MXUS 3005RC DD hub 'just in case' waiting to get laced-up, but I'm still not entirely sure if it finds its way into the Milan. The new features of the Phaserunner could take care of the motor drag, though. I'll have to see how the Bafang CST will hold-up on my new commute.

Justin, the mac os link isn’t working. I will give it a try if you can mend it.
The new v1.1 beta versions for macOS and Win are now available from the Phaserunner info page: https://www.ebikes.ca/product-info/phas ... ware-suite
(just found them, might play with them tomorrow)

Just wondering: Is there still some development done? I don't see any progress or anything since teklektik left the forum.
Is it just me that has this feeling?
Nope, you are right. Since Tek left, this forum thread is way less useful.

Re: Your Creation's Before & After Pics

6Wh/km @ 60 kph !! Cx is everything... On open roads without frequent traffic lights, I think its closer to 5.8 or 5.9Wh/km and it currently got a relatively slowish tire at the rear wheel (Big Ben 50-559). I have to do some further testing, but with some light pedaling (75W), 3.3Wh/km @ 40km/h, 4....

Re: Show me your electric velomobile.

It is. I remember no shortage of people telling me that the low consumption figures or range I was looking for couldn't be done in a sub 100 lb vehicle. You've gone and done even better than what I was proposing. .... You could not have chosen a more efficient platform to use, and it is doubtful an...

Re: Show me your electric velomobile.

With a 120W pedal input, you could be looking at a real-world 250+ mile range on your 1.5 kWh pack. Impressive, isn't it? On my first ride after the conversion, I could hardly believe the low consumption figures. Even setting everything to max and riding through the city with frequently starting fr...

Re: Show me your electric velomobile.

Its a simple cadence sensor. If I want a workout and put more force to the pedals, adding assist power as well seemed wrong to me. On the other hand (since the magnets for the cadence sensor are mounted into the chain ring) by shifting down and raising the cadence for climbing hills, or by shifting ...

Re: Show me your electric velomobile.

Does it have suspension? Yes. Its fully suspended. All Milan velomobiles have front suspension, but you can order them with or without rear suspension. I've changed the suspension from springs and friction damping to elastomere and kept it fairly stiff, though. Also, to eliminate the fairly strong ...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Bug report! ;) I've updated from FW v3.12 to v3.13x1G today (checked all the settings and had to correct some). So far, all good, except the max speed value has no decimal dot. It reads 654km/h (my trike is pretty quick, but not that fast :D) I'm not entirely sure if 65.4km/h would be the correct ma...

Max current of 5V line of the Phaserunner v1

Hi Grin Tech, Since the maximum regulated current available to power external accessory devices from Cycle Analyst v3 is limited, I was wondering if my Phaserunner v1 can power the hall throttle, 3x hall brake sensors, PAS, etc (drawing between 25-30mA combined); if I use a 74V (20s) battery. What i...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

@amberwolf More than a year ago I've experienced this very slow throttle output of the CAv3 DPS as well. I've tried everything. It drove me crazy! Only when I disconnected the speed sensor, throttle behavior was back to normal. IIRC the reason was a defect speed sensor/broken speed sensor cable/conn...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Hi Justin, I got a Phaserunner v1 and wonder, if I can use the blue Phaserunner brake wire to connect an in-line brake sensor (3-wire hall sensor brake sensor), to switch-off the motor. I don't (and can't) use regen and just want to make sure the motor can't run with parking brake engaged*. Are any ...

Hi Tek or Justin, I like to put the right front case button on a separate momentary switch at the handle bar*. I got the temp sensor wire on a separate cable (ex speed sensor cable of the CAv3 DPS), hence I got the yellow wire free to connect to the B2 pad of the 3-pin front case connector. -can I u...

Re: The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts

Really liking the charger with my only concern being how hot it gets. How hot is acceptable? IIRC Justin stated waaay back in this thread, that the internal components of the Satiator are specified to 100°C. Actually, the Satuatore 'cares' for it self. At full power, when the temperature will rise ...
